I don't see the problem at all. People complain for years about using Roman's money but when we start using it to make a profit (especially in a period where FFP has become prevalent) it's just as bad.

I see zero issue with it. If they turn out to be good enough to play for Chelsea then fantastic. If not, the club makes a nice profit.

Clubs are a business as well.

Name one kid Chelsea have developed into the first team through the loan system. Not even Courtois is certain.

No club farms out mass players on loan: T.Hazard, Kakuta, Bertrand, Romeu, Moses, van Ginkel, van Aanholt, McEachran, etc. That's just off the top of my head. I would be surprised if a single player becomes a Chelsea star. If the benchmark is De Bruyne, forget it.
You have to realise that before Roman came along we had an awful youth system. Now it's looking up, with kids like Ake, Loftus-Cheek, Swift, Chalobah all looking like they could be top prospects.

Also van Ginkel never went on loan and was purchased to be a part of the main squad. Top researching.

Doesn't always work out that way though does it. How's Frimpong working out for you?

All I'm saying is that they aren't the only club to do it. All clubs do it.
Frimpong has been released so they got nothing out of him.

Congrats.

You will loan him out for six years, he will probably play a game or two for Chelsea then you will sell him for 15+mil.

Hopefully. In a few years either he's a cheap 1st team option or we sell him at a profit. Win win.

Haters are going to hate.

An FC is as much a business as it is a sports club.

Meanwhile players like Joel Campbell have been running around playing for the gunners for years...

Every club does it.

They do, I guess we are just arseholes at it cause we do it well.

I told you it was off the top of my head.

You may as well loan him out.

Would've been good if Evra had stayed, he obviously doesn't want to play second fiddle to Shaw, which is understandable but now it leaves us needing to sign another LB for cover for Shaw, not sure who we can get that's relatively cheap though.

Bertrand! ;)

He would have played plenty of games last season, but he did his ACL in the first game he got to start. Expecting him to play a fair few games this season.

Campbell couldn't get a work permit, so had to go out on loan.

Frimpong did his ACL twice otherwise he would have stayed in and around the first team, but ultimately that has cost him his career at the top level.

you're getting about 1.5 mil for evra. nani has just signed a new contract. thank your moyesiah for that one

i see anderson is showing ander all the chippy's and macca's hotspots.

I was shocked to find out Anderson is still contracted and is likely to come back to training. Anders needs to steer well clear of that.

Herrera needs to just stick with Mata, steer well clear of Anderson.

nah, he's already put on 10 kg's. and it's not muscle.

I heard we were thinking about loaning him to Brazil, but the shipping fees was more than the release of his contract. :p

Nah but seriously, send him on his way IMO. Just put a stick on his head with a donut hanging off and point him in the direction of Brazil.
