Suncoast vs Redlands - 20 May

I'd expect this to be a 100+ point win with the side we'll put out. Shermo & Fixter back in the two. Clark and Leuey backing up. Tippett maybe back this week.

When was the last time we had 16 listed (including rookies) players in the ressie side? Great to see. Looks like plenty of competition for senior spots.

Any loss under 100 point you know redlands have done well. I know they have recruited a lot of new boys which has been exciting to watch.

You must be spewing that you spelt Marcus's name wrong.

Each post is a permanent monument to that one mistake.

Redland 11.9-75 def. by Suncoast Lions 19.19-133

Redland Goal Kickers: Michael Thompson 4, C Millar 2, A Hickey, A Muellar, T Rudolph, H Anderson, C Brown 1
Suncoast Lions Goal Kickers: M Clark 6, R Hooper 3, W Hamill 2, M Jeuenberger 2, B Weightman, J Hawksley, C Schmidt, J McDonald, C Wood, M Peterson 1

Looking forward to reading about this game from you Andrew (browndog) Hamilton ;) :D

M Clark with 6 goals. Would have to say it is very likely that he will be getting a senior call up this week. Could really help bolster the forward line.

How'd Sherman go?

Yet again Sherman was not about his 2005 standard....missed some easy goals and made some mistakes with inaccuracy when kicking.

Redlands did very well to end the way they did. The third quater was extremly intense with pretty much each side mathing goal for goal and Redlands even managed to catch up to only being one goal behind. I have to say for a team that smashed Zillemere last week there performance was quite off and many tries for goal were quite off as they ended up with more behinds then goals.

This arrived on my desk, dropped off by a suspicious looking bloke in a ski mask, with a red card pinned on his chest.

Great win from the Suncoast boys today.

Looked relatively in control in the first half but Redlands pressed hard and dominated the third quarter to be within a goal at three quarter time.

Suncoast stepped in up in the final quarter, piling on about 8 goals and restricted the Bombers to 1 point for the final term.

Forgot to record the final score but I think it was about 136 - 75.

Mitch Clark once again dominated up forward and must have kicked at least 6 goals, probably more. Like last week against Zillmere he simply is incredible overhead and takes marks he should have no right to take. Was still running and chasing hard in the final quarter so I think any queries over his fitness are moot. Quite simply, Mitch has earned his call-up, lets hope he gets it.

Leuenberger was also impressive up forward, like Mitch he is an excellent mark. I think he must have kicked at least 3.

Tyler appears to have done a hammy and came off halfway through the first quarter and didn't return.

Chris Schmidt was once again exceptional in the midfield, his ability to work his way through traffic and hit a target is consistently top drawer.

Rhan Hooper was one of the best on ground, he chased hard all day and kicked a couple of goals.

Scott Clouston was exceptional in defense, smothered several kicks and plays an extremely accountable brand of footy.

Hawksley once again was great in the midfield, his first thought always seems to be to attack and he backs himself to bring the ball forward.

Was there today alongside me mates (HEY MODS, BRING BACK MY MATE!)

Photos and video will be uploaded this evening. Videos to be uploaded onto my Myspace and to anyone interested, give me a PM.

Full credit to Redlands for an outstanding 3rd quarter, to really rally against a team that most expect to smash them.

BOG for me was Schmity, got lots of the ball in the midfield, excellent ball winner.

And ful credit to Jmac for BRINGING BACK THE BIFF! :D
