Stop crying about a 6 day break (if we do win).
We didn't finish top 4 so didn't earn the right for any favours. One of the elimination finals is always on a Sunday and the winner of that game always has a 6 day break the next week. This year is it us. Suck it up and move on.

could possibly be a five day break if we win and get a semi scheduled on the Friday night. pretty big advantage to a team that won one more game with inferior percentage to us.

Went to the North board to possibly have a discussion about the game only to read a heap of whinging about ducking, feral crowds etc etc.. Already! It's going to be a long week.

The main board will be interesting if we do win.
Oh well. Look on the bright side. Subiaco oval holds 42,000? If it was a derby final we would have only got 21,000 seats. Now we are playing North - after their 17 fans buy a ticket there will be 41,983 seats left over for us.

North fans generally buy a few tickets each to boost the crowd numbers so there might only be 42, 970 odd for us.

Be prepared to hear from Brad Scott about the umps, free kicks and feral supporters all week this week

Ha ha ha I see what you did there...tell me what team has a supporter that is motivated to make a sign devoted to the quality of umpiring "How about some consistency umps" and of course, no West Coast person has ever complained about the umpiring

Not talking about the fans, we're talking about the coaches.

They won't have us playing on the Friday after a Sunday game.

True, but this is the first time that the opponent will have 2 extra days break, rather than 1.
Oh well , that's what we get for not finishing top 4.

AFL's hands were tied because some moron decided to schedule a bum sniffing exhibition at Subi next Saturday.

in many ways its good that we have an extended break now. just a little longer to freshen up mentally.

as for 6 day breaks, thats the way it is and you cant change geography. someone has to have a 6 day break and teams up the ladder deserve preference.

Given it was Chris Scott who said that, I have no idea why North people would be bringing it up. Idiots if they do. The ducking is obviously a documented fact though ... (smiley face thingy)

Read somewhere that:

Loser of Adel v Syd will play winner of Geel v Freo on Friday night

Loser of Haw v Coll will play winner of WCE v Roos on Saturday/Saturday night.
That would be right.
With the prelim contestant of the top match (to play the winner of hawks/pies) on the friday and the prelim contestant of the bottom match (to play the winner of crows/swans) to be on the saturday day.

It's not the first time. In the 2003 and 2009 seasons a team played on the Saturday in week two of the finals with two more days off than the other team.

the 6 day break is fine, but it makes it tough when the opposition get an 8 day break.... really should've been coll v hawks on the saturday night
