Our game would've been the Saturday night but for the rugby. Can't be helped

That is the best and most accurate description I have ever heard for that Feral Moronic gameAFL's hands were tied because some moron decided to schedule a bum sniffing exhibition at Subi next Saturday.

This is Charlotte Dawson all over again.
final minute, west coast win a free for deliberate out of bounds, pump the ball long, cox drops the mark, shuey crumbs, free kick for high contact. 10 meters out, directly in front, slots it. eagles win by 3 points. media and bigfooty meltdown.
quite true. And finishing 4th meant we have had to fly back from Melbourne after losing to the hawks in round 23, only to fly back again 5 days later to play them once again.. Getting thumped by the hawks 2 weeks in a row would be pretty morale sapping heading into a semi-final.I honestly don't think there is much difference for us finishing 4th.
We'd lose to hawks, let's be honest then play collingwood at home, take out last week they've played well at subi if we win that we'd still play ade/syd away.
Only difference is pies at g not subi.
It's a difference but if we can't win at the g against a stumbling collingwood, what's the point?

Stop crying about a 6 day break (if we do win).
We didn't finish top 4 so didn't earn the right for any favours. One of the elimination finals is always on a Sunday and the winner of that game always has a 6 day break the next week. This year is it us. Suck it up and move on.
that is probably the funniest sign at the footy I've ever seen.Ha ha ha I see what you did there...tell me what team has a supporter that is motivated to make a sign devoted to the quality of umpiring "How about some consistency umps" and of course, no West Coast person has ever complained about the umpiring
Thanks, you make some good pointsHappy we are playing Sunday not Friday.
1) Getting to the game (if able to get tix) for the early start they would demand for TV on a Friday would be mayhem. A Fri night final here in Perf would be scheduled for a 5:40ish start. Crap time.
2) 1:15pm Sunday if the weather is a nice balmy Perf day will quickly sap any run out of a Melbourne based team.
3) MOST IMPORTANTLY - give JK and any guy carrying a little niggle an extra couple of days to be right for the game. We HAVE to win this game so any advantage to get these guys up I will take. I would even say for JK to play I would rather the nice big break before this game and only a 6 day break before the next. There is no use earmarking an 8 day break before the next final to have Norf kick our pants off as we have no fit forward line.

No stupid abuse though and if you see someone ripping in to another fan then speak up and tell him to worry about the footy. It's good fun to give each other a bit of a ribbing but not when some knobs take it to far. Should be a great game and last home game for the year, so cheer loud and enjoy it
And yet the Cats and Dockers both finished below us and will get a 7 day break against a team with a 7 day break. The winner of our game will get a 6 day break against a team with an 8 day break. Vlad has shafted us big time, not just on this issue but by gifting Adelaide a top 4 spot with 2 extra games against Gold Coast and GWS.
