it was a completely different brandon ellis (spelt different) that was arrested on sunday. just idiots who only read a headline or ****wits trying to get a rise out of people, and funnily enough people were dumb enough to believe it lol.

Question for Suns fans living on the Gold Coast, do you guys get much media coverage up there? I know the bulletin was a sponsor or something early days, so interested to hear if there is much in the paper there and if the Suns get a regular slot during the sports section of the Gold Coast nightly news too? A lot of the stuff posted on here tends to be from the Melbourne media.
Zero coverage in The Bulletin which is why I dropped subscription
Acres of newsprint regarding the local rugby league team who I understand are maintaining their standard second rate performances

To be fair, Boswell does write up on average one article per week about Suns as he does have access to players through Bulletin sponsorship. Last week it was about Powell mental demons early in the season, before that interview with Thompson.

Robbo was very strong on Dew tonight. At one moment, it almost looked like Robbo will announce Dew's extension :p

Anyway, here is excerpt from his Herald article.
If the Suns have their way, Stuart Dew will be offered a two-year extension before the season is over.

What they’d like to say, though, is that the players absolutely love Dew.

That after several seasons building a list and building trust and commitment within the playing group, and now finally building respect from the rest of the competition, they believe wholeheartedly in Dew.

There’s only two reasons why Dew won’t coach the Suns next year.

Firstly, if the current 4-5 Suns — which has them level on points with the Bulldogs, Port Adelaide and Collingwood — were to capitulate in the second half of the season and finish with, say, a 5-16 record, he’s kaput.

And secondly, if the AFL comes over top of club management and directs the club to sack Dew and install Clarkson.
If that happened, Cochrane would likely resign, maybe even Evans, and the harmony and synergy and energy being generated at that club would be disrupted.

I did see on AFL 360 the back page on the paper was a big picture of chol celebrating but wasn't sure if that was the norm, obviously not. Hopefully a bit more media exposure if the suns are on the up it will definitely help with attendance. Hopefully a bit of coverage on the nightly news too.

Just said to the person sitting next to me that over the next three weeks I should sit in the same pocket during warm-ups and keep saying the same thing. Get in his head

Matt Rowell - the Gold Coast midfielder is back to his best after a wretched run of injury.

Finally, the Gold Coast midfielder is back to his best after a wretched run of injury. His attack on the ball set the tone in the Round 9 win against Fremantle. The No.1 pick joins as the Suns continue their rise.

We finally seem to have that layer of players who have played ~70 games and can provide harder bodies and support so we don’t have to rely on the kids.

Ultimately means nothing as a stat as our core group is still all around 20/21/22 and we have a ton of young guys waiting to come in over the next couple of years, but hopefully means we don’t hit that wall we do every year where the kids fall off.

Having the likes of Day, Swallow, Casboult and Thompson do drag the average up a bit.
These are averages for games played rounds 1-9, so no Day involved and Thompson only 2 games but you are correct. Interestingly, if I remember correctly we had not debutants so far this year contrary to other teams at the bottom.

Interesting that Melbourne have the same age profile and more experience in their team ( oh and a premiership), makes the whole Suns mantra of we are young and learning routine sound like BS.

Probably because it is
Age and experience profile changed significantly this year for Suns. Previous years were different story.
