I would have said Jordan Roughead B/R averaging 90 but I just traded him in. Reckon he will easily go 85-90 averging 14 possies and 23 hitouts so far.

I was considering trading in McGlynn too, but took Billings instead. Have no idea why he was even in the free agent pool, but I'm happy to have him in my team of select young guns+GAJ.

Oh I traded out Nicholls & DeGoey if anyone is in need of a back up ruck and M/F.

Roughead is averaging the 3rd lowest hitouts per game out of any main ruckman this year, you'd assume its something the dogs would want to improve

Oops 11.7 possies to be precise.

Minson is a potato and it's not 2013 any more. 1 spike year in an otherwise forgettable career. Doggies won't be challenging if he's in the team.

Doggies supporters insisted that he wasn't going to be 1st ruck. To be fair, the club themselves were non committal during pre-season as to which player they were going to go with either.

I asked about him very early on as well and was shot down. Wish I had started with him instead of Gov in hindsight. Also, would it kill CD to give one of the cheapie rucks a B/R DPP

Not many come up at all.

Only Durdin last year is one I can actually remember.

Tomahawk zero goals vs Essendon Turfed him for Westhoff this week.

A lot of strange trading in our draft league this year which goes against the usual SC logic and principles. Might have something to do with unlimited weekly trades or upcoming match ups. Dumping premo's after a shit game or 2 for mid-pricers who went big the week before. Mostly by toxic chasing last weeks points.


I've mostly been doing the opposite by picking up the dumped players as free agents who were rage traded out after a shit game or 2.

So far I've picked up NRoo who toxic traded out after a 33 in Rd1. Since then he's scored 101, 86 & 102 for me, while the player he traded in for NRoo, Lambert has spudded up the last 2 weeks with a 70 & 74.

Also picked up Billings who someone else dumped after he scored 68, 64 in the 1st 2 rounds. Since I brought him in as a free agent he's gone 109 & 102 and looks every bit a forward premo.

I admit I did dump Greene after Rd1 myself which I sort of regret, but he's up and down like a yo-yo anyway and the player I bought in for him, NRoo has been far more consistent, so no big loss.

Anyway, I don't buy into bringing in iffy players just because they've got a perceived easy match coming up. Keep doing that all year and you'll end up with a much worse team than you started of with as all the better season long type keepers will be gone.

One guy picked up Waite in round 2 and has been killing it ever since. I lost to him in round 2 since he had Waite and Gibson I traded out Redden for Hawkins so no real loss there.

Draft is definitely more fun than I expected due to having unlimited trades which leads to stupidity more than anything else. So far in the waiver/FA I've picked up Jack Martin, Tom Bell, Toby Greene, Zaharakis and Westhoff. Someone dropped Goddard after a week but I missed out on him. Would love to get Billings like you did. Whitfield has been sitting in FA all year and I want him but can't seem to fit him into my team.

Inter team trading is proving to be impossible though. Everyone just wants to rip people off. I've thrown out some reasonable 50/50 deals and been emphatically rejected every time.
