I was just reading my MCC Newsletter and it was good to read the following.

"Following the AFL's decision to relocate its administration to Colonial Stadium, the Melbourne Football CLub took up a substantial part of the vacant office space at its spiritual home - the MCG - in November. Founded by the MCC in 1858, the football club is a very special part of Victorian sporting life and we remain committed to its survival and prosperity".

If they were so committed during the merger

Why didn't they help out to makeSURE it would remain a stand alone club?

Also something should be done within the MCC for those members to contribute and become footy members of their respective clubs, like in the AFL MEMBERS.
