Tell your stories, better if they are of yourself, but we'd all love to hear of others as well.

Anyway to why I bring this question up, I was looking over all the stuff Mum kept (school reports, awards, team/school photos) and I found a letter from the high school I went to. Because I have a vague memory of the incident it was quite funny. It read:

"Another boy took (ScooterSelwood)'s bag and ran away. (ScooterSelwood) then confronted the boy and a fight broke out."

Once in Year 8, got into a fight with this Maori ****wit who stole my Zelda Game cartridge. It started when he flashed it at me and I tried to get it back. Then when I went to grab it, I got punched, so I poured a bottle of Coca Cola on him, then his friends came along, then randoms joined in. In the end, about 20 people were involved, and most got suspended. The instigator though, had his arm broken, so that was some solace.

3 times for me.

1st... had a substitute teacher in a class who didn't seem to like me calling out answers without putting my hand up... so I decided I would put my hand up a few times and she kept taking other peoples (girls) answers before mine and at one point I called her an F'N sexist bitch. 2 days off I copped for that one (year 8, 13 years old..)

2nd.. fight between my mate broke out (mate year 9, other person year 11).. i jumped in to help, hit the guy and he just about knocked me out in retaliation (was a good idea for me at the time).. copped another 2 days for joining in

3rd.. copped an 'internal' suspension for being kicked out of my maths class for something like 6 periods in succession over the course of 2 weeks or something. had to spend the entire day at school except not go to any classes or take recess or lunch. just had to sit near the principals office and study.

got moved on to another school which was for year 10, 11 and 12 after year 9 and never got in trouble again due to teachers who were a little better at handling and respecting students :P

I was expelled from my old school, because I put a kid through a window after he tried to hit me with cricket stumps.

Something like me and my mates decided to make a mosh pit at some stupid dance

On and a fight as well, some kid (year 10, i was year 8) put bubblegum in my hair, i kicked him in the face and knocked out 3 of his teeth apparently, and his 3 mates beat the shit out of me

I got one of those internal ones in year 8 after throwing some kid into the side of a bin when he was ragging on one of my mates with some pretty bad stuff (my mate was a refugee from Bosnia, his English wasn't great, etc). I probably would've copped an external one if I'd just decked the guy for no reason.

I didn't get another one after that, just a single after school detention for skipping a few maths classes in year 10. I hated maths.

Never been suspended. I was a good boy:D

Same, although i did cop a few detentions here and there. In one of my first detention periods, the teacher on duty at the time was flabbergasted that i made an appearance and thought the teacher was in the wrong :p.

I was thrown out of class a few times in highschool (year 9 German was basically the bludge class and see who could get thrown out first + the fastest).

In grade 1 I accidentally punched some girl in the face...seriously...accidentally, but NO ONE believed me:( We were standing in line (in pairs), and someone behind me pulled my hair, I turned around and my fist ran into the eye of a girl (I didn't even know I did anything btw). She cried, blamed me, I said it was an accident, teacher didn't believe me, and my Student of the Week badge was taken off me:thumbsd:

No suspensions.

Year 7 - 1 detention. I was banging my ruler on my desk and the teacher confiscated it off of me. I put my hand up like 20 minutes later to ask for it back but he wasn't acknowledging me. I then asked everyone around me to put their hands up and ask him to give me my ruler back. He thought it was a stupid idea and gave me a detention for distracting everyone.

Year 8 - 1 detention. The teacher told the class that no one was to stand up in class. 5 minutes after he said that, I stood up on the spot and turned around to get something from the kid behind me. Bang. Detention.

Year 9 - 1 detention. This sticky piece of paper/glue was stuck to my finger and I couldn't get it off. I decided to flick it off and it went flying past the teacher's head. She didn't understand why I flicked it off. She thought I was flicking it at another student.

Year 10 - 1 detention. I did art for one of my bludge classes. The homework was to get some pictures of houses out of magazines and glue them into your art book. I got like 20 pictures but I didn't have any glue at home. I had that class in the first period and I decided to glue them in then. Not good enough; they should have been glued in at home.

Year 11 - 1 detention. My maths teacher gave us set revision that we had to do for a test (WTF?). So I decided to do what everyone had always done until this test and do my own revision. I handed it up to him. Not good enough. Detention.

Year 12 - 0 detentions. I broke my streak in the final year of my schooling life. :thumbsu:

As you can see, I got a lot of bullshit detentions.

I never ended up getting suspended, somehow. I was in regular fights up until about Year 10, I nailed a teacher in the head with a rock, told a different teacher to **** off, and generally made a nuisance of myself. I was good at talking my way out of trouble.

Did you talk your way out of the rock throwing incident?

I couldn't imagine nailing a teacher in the head with a rock. The best I can remember was kid hitting a teacher in the head with an apple back in primary school.

As you can see, I got a lot of bullshit detentions.

5 detentions in 6 years and you call that "a lot"?

Lol.

Also, how can you possibly remember what they were all for?

By 'a lot', I meant percentage wise. 4 out of the 5 were total bullshit.

Also, how can you possibly remember what they were all for?
Because they were few and far between, I remember them quite vividly.

My brother on the other hand used to get detentions nearly every single week, so he obviously wouldn't have the ability to remember most of them.

Only once in year 11 physics. Was during 2000 Olympics, I had a walkman to listen on the desk (it was off) also had a mobile phone when hardly any others did (g/f went to another school).

Teacher got tired of my superior intellect and took my walkman/phone off my desk and said he was confiscating them.

"Why are you being a dikkhead sir?" was said loudly in front of entire class.

"What was that?"

"You heard me, dikkhead."

End result, 2 days off to watch the olympics and shag my g/f.

The school failed in teaching me a lesson there.

My funniest incident was actually during a sport class, where I played against a group of kids I generally didnt like.

Anyway, the sport was indoor soccer, maybe when I was 14ish. One of them mentioned that they were coming for me, I said bring it. I received a pass and decided to be fancy and cross the ball in off one of the walls of the gymnasium. What I didnt know was that one of them was behind me and the ball rickocheting off the wall hit him in the head and caused a blood nose. As he was on the ground, I gave him a softish "harden up" tap with my foot, which he played up for the teacher. One of his friends then decides to come in with a flykick and all hell broke lose. Weeks detention only, becuase the other person in question was a badboy himself and I had never really got in trouble at this school...

The only other one I remember was in primary school. During a footy game I went up for a mark and hit someone, who took offence and decided to start a fight there and then. One of my mates came in from the side and belted this bloke, which caused a whole race based riot to start...

That was only a one day detention surprisingly, my mate copped it a bit more because he actually managed to put some pain through some kids...

That's just outrageous.

private school i assume?

there's no way you'd get detentions for little things like that at a public school.....surely

hahaha!

the closest thing i've got to that is back in grade 6....we'd finished school and were celebrating with water balloons after school

i had a full one and i piffed it really hard at a teacher in her stomach.
well the balloon didn't pop and she fell to the ground winded!

but re suspensions....

i had an inter school suspension in year 11 after a teacher was bragging about how his next door neighbors sons best friend used to whatever with somebody famous (or some shit like that) and one of the wogs in the back of the class yells out "yeh so what does that make you...still a nobody!" and everyone pisses themselves laughing and the teacher yells at me for laughing the loudest :confused: and tells me to get outside so i stand up and told him he's a "f***ing f****t who needs to learn how to teach" (or something along those lines) and walked out of the room and caught the bus home

and another one was in year 12 when one of the loser chicks who thought she was really awesome and popular said to me how i was a "gay c*** who can suck my own......you know what"
so i told her to "f' off back to the lab....they f'ed you up"
(she was a test tube baby)

i actually got only a day for the last one in the end when the girls friends told the co-ordinators it was her fault for attacking me first (since they wouldn't listen to anything i said straight after the incident)

I got canned in 1st grade for punching a nun in the stomach and stamping on her foot. In my defense though I was trying to run away from her at the time.

Some teachers are absolute morons. I still remember in year 1 or 2, there was a kid who raised his hand and asked to go to the toilet. The teacher said no, and carried on with class. A few minutes later, the kid asked again, and again, the teacher said no. A few minutes later, the kid starts crying, and it turns out he wet himself. As you can imagine, the rest of the class gave him crap about that forever, and he ended up changing schools not too long after. Not sure if the incident was a catalyst to that, but still stupid by the teacher anyway.

I never got suspended, though I used to get kicked out of class regularly, for all sorts of reasons. Some were stupid, some I deserved, but one that stands out was in year 4 I think, we each had small trays under our desks, and a bigger drawer at the back of the class. At the end of every week, we would 'clean' these drawers, and throw out junk etc. So I was pulling my drawer out, and I accidentally pulled the entire drawer out instead of just pulling it out a little bit. The drawer dropped and landed on another girls foot. She was in pain, and I apologised straight away, and she wasn't too badly hurt. But the teacher decided to be an idiot and sent me to the principle's office, who then called my parents. Principle didn't even want to hear my side of the story. Went home, told parents my side of the story, and they refused to believe me that the teacher kicked me out for that. Just shows how moronic some teachers are.

One day in year 3, me and my mates were bored so we had a toliet roll fight in the toilets, every toilet roll was involved and we also thought we were funny by locking each toilet door and climbing over the top so nobody could get in. But during this fight one of my friends dropped his hat in the urinal somehow and being young and immature he refused to get it out as we all would have bagged the shit out of him so eventually we left. The next day at school we get called to the principals office and are asked to explain ourselves, we tried giving them some bullshit story of about how my friends hat was stolen by some 'big' year 7's who we knew, unfortunately it turned out that those 'big" year 7's had been in detention all lunch. Damn. We had to write the cleaners apologies that were one page long and were placed on recess detention list for the remainder of the term. Unfortunately for the school we were treated like heroes by all of our classmates after they heard of the incident and we we continued to act like little smartarses for the rest of our primary school years and for a bit in high school.

private school i assume?
Yeah, private school.

I think I only got sent to the principal 3 times in primary school.
The only 3 I can remember:
- Me and one of my friends ran around the school dacking everyone.
- I kicked an annoying girl's Barbie doll into the male toilets.
- I punched someone during interschool football.

I also recall a kid wetting his pants in around grade 3 or 4. He was standing at the front of the room and he didn't run to the toilets or anything. He stood there from the start to completion whilst we were all sitting down and laughing at him.
He then proceeded to tell us all how warm it felt.
