Burton, Waters, Murphy face bans

THREE PLAYERS have been offered suspensions by the AFL match review panel for making high contact to opponents during games over the weekend.

Adelaide's Brett Burton and West Coast's Beau Waters were both cited during the panel's review and offered two-game bans, while Western Bulldog Robert Murphy was reported on Saturday and offered a one-game penalty.

The Crows have already indicated Burton will plead guilty to making forceful contact from front-on against Essendon's Henry Slattery last Friday night at AAMI Stadium in contact the panel deemed as reckless, of low impact and high contact.

Waters was charged with engaging in rough conduct against Collingwood's Shane O'Bree at the MCG, while Murphy was booked for engaging in rough conduct against Hawthorn's Xavier Ellis in Launceston on Saturday.

Murphy's contact was assessed as negligent, medium impact and high, which drew 225 demerit points and a two-match suspension.

His good record means he can reduce that to 168.75 points and a one-game ban through an early guilty plea.

Waters' action was assessed the same way, but his bad recent record meant the demerit points were increased to 270.

That means he cannot reduce the penalty under the two-game threshold with a guilty plea.

Burton ran the risk of being suspended for three games had he contested the charge at the tribunal, as his bad recent record inflated his tally to 300 demerit points.

I can cope with Birdman out for 2.

If Chapman returns, all is well and Tippet steps in for Birdman.

If Chapman doesn't return and Gamble does, all is well with Tippet and Gamble stepping in for Chapman and Birdman.

If Chapman and Gamble don't return.. I cop a 0 on the chin. :(

I upgraded Gamble to Johnson so I need Chapman or Valenti back as I already have Tippet on the ground covering for Chapman and he is doing SFA at the moment! If Chapman and Valenti come back then I am starting both of them and Tippet can go back on the pine.

Worst case senario is that I cop a dounut this week again!

I copped a dounut last week with a full team still. Bloody Griffen (Crows) the spud. Should have had Kruezer selected as an emergency and I would have got his score and done the famous opposition Daniher > Tippet Impromtu move!

LMFAO! :p:D
