Swans delist 4

Swans have delisted Aaron Rogers, James Meiklejohn, Daniel Hunt and Scott McGlone from the club's senior and rookie lists. I gotta say this comes as a big surprise to me. Are we saving up for someone...

Would have thought McGlone and Rogers would be brought back to the rookie list.

I glad they got rid of Hunt and Micklejohn, bloody useless the lot of them. I thought Rogers was OK but I guess it's back to Penno next year.

Next up Sunny and Powell, and I hope we trade Fosdike. I also think that Ablett should be used as trade bait as well.

I hope Fixter stays on the list. If Buchy got a second chance this year, then Fixter deserves another year at least.

Fixter is on the borderline, he has been given a second chance already. He is talented but you can't afford to keep carrying injury-prone players on the list. I hope Powell stays, he was looking good last season, he might have taken a step back, but I think he has talent. And he's got a great leap, definitely the successor to Leo on HBF. In McGlone's case, he's already been delisted from the rookie list once, I believe because you can't keep the same player on the rookie list more than 2 years in a row without delisting them. I'm not sure he'll be back. I hope young Nick Potter gets more of a chance next year.

I'm most surprised with McGlone getting delisted. Meiklejohn and Hunt were probably fair enough. Although Rogers was ok and had only been on our list for 1 year, he was a forward player and we have enough forwards on our list. But I would have thought we would need someone like McGlone, a fairly tall midfielder who racks up plenty of possessions in the reserves all the time.
