The wait has been lengthy but it will be worthwhile.

The Mighty Bloods are the bogey side for the Weasels. We will deliver an old testament Trojan Wars style smiting of this mob.

Based on their year so far we should be able to break even with opportunity inside 50.
They are however very efficient with those inside 50s and in the past 4 weeks we have been one of the best teams (against decent opposition too) at conceding a score from an opposition inside 50. The Eagles are also the most accurate team this year so combined with their efficiency with their inside 50s, it becomes obvious what we need to do to be able to win the game.

If we can limit their effectiveness with their inside 50 entries and ideally push as many opportunities as possible into the deep pockets of the SCG, it will go a long way to winning this game. This is made easier with Hurn and Yeo on the sidelines.

I think the above plays nicely into our strengths and with them not being a high inside 50 team I think we can limit their efficiency of the ones they do have.

West Coast have received a low pressure rating from their opposition this year (lowest of any side - Footy Live app). Expect that to change.

Swans by 12.

I think we’ll win this. Think Tommy McCartin might have a career best game for some reason. Rioli & Ryan to cause us headaches all day. Florent and Dawson to continue their battle for best performing youngster this year. Sir Dane to be BOG in his 150th after playing their Kennedy off the park while collecting 24 disposals and a stack of rebound 50s as well.

Edit: **** forget Florent and Dawson, forgot about Hewett whose got that battle on lock

Looking forward to going to this game. Hope we can see our young players getting on lots of ball and continue to improve. Some things I’d like to see - Heeney to be marking lots of ball again and finding some good form, Tom McCartin and Blakey working hard and making sure their names become a constant on the team sheet, Papley kicking 2-3 goals, COR getting 20+ disposals, the teams showing some bottle and steel and obviously a big win for our boys!

Wtf. Swans are now favourites with the bookies. Eagles are at $2. Do they have late outs? I know our record against them at the SCG is good but you know.

Sydney's put on a lovely day for the game... will be cold in the stands, there's been fog and frost every day for last three or four, so I'm expecting it freezing!!

Will be there as usual, cheering my heart out, booing the umpires, and generally enjoying myself!

Swans by 21!

GO BLOODS!!!

As a kid in '50's it was more like "Chewy on ya boot" ;)

Looking forward to see how Rose goes. Hopefully we give him a few weeks and if he doesn't perform, we'll know he's not up to it. We obviously re-signed him for a reason.

Heeney has obviously been struggling with an ankle and I thought he would have been rested. Time he started to tear games apart.

Stoddart could just be the senior emergency. So maybe no one yet.

Game is at Blacktown, would be difficult to get back in time for game prep if something happened pregame.
How far away is that from the SCG? Is it that shitty direction where there’s no (decent) public transport?

I'm suspicious that it was salary cap expenditure related.
Why not just front-load a contract ane take a punt on another draft pick if that was the case?
