Will need our best effort of the year to pull of a win here. But should be a good match regardless.

Who knows which Swans team turns up tonight.
Don't think we'll get the chocolates but i hope we don't crumble like we did last week.

Geelong by 21 points.

Honestly think this is the make or break of our season in terms of flag contention. Apart from Hawthorn we haven't beaten a single top 8 side away from home. Need to make a statement to ourselves if we want to have a chance of going all the way.

Head says Cats by 20 id say. But heart hopes for a tight win in Kizzas 200th.

I can see a smacking

Well anything better than that should be a bonus then. I agree! It is going to be a tough gig down there. We all penciled this in as a loss before round 1.
Most of us also thought we wouldn't be 10 & 4 after 14 games. So let's all watch the game expecting to lose, but hopefully enjoying the emergence of our next generation. Who knows what can happen. Buddy hasn't played at this ground since under 18s. The pockets aren't deep so he can mess Geelong up bad if things go our way. Let's see what happens. I'm loving Paps back in the team. I'm loving AA in the team.

Dare I say it! Towers to be the match winner!;)

Yes we almost certainly did but that was before we shit the bed last week and against Richmond and embarrassed ourselves against GWS because but for this we would have been in the usual Swans cruise mode, perched comfortably between the top and 4th on the ladder with the only interest in going down to Sleepy Hollow being the Team Bus stopping off at the Corio Roadhouse for the famous Ham and Cheese Jaffles. Well Guess what Boys ???? Its about time you showed some of that famous Spirit Of The Bloods Character and redeemed yourselves and your aspirations of a Flag.

If we'd won last week I would have been much more relaxed going into this. It was always penciled in as a probable loss and wouldn't have been the end of the world. Almost need to win now after dropping the game last week. Win tonight and we could still finish top 2. Lose and top 4 will be difficult.

Can't see us getting up. If both teams turn up, the midfield is just about even, their back line will beat buddy, and their forwards will beat/break even with our defense.

They'll make us look slow.

BUT.

It should still be close enough, and excited to see how Papley and Rose go with a bit less Heeney in the fwd line.

Also, Naismith finally.

Reminds of the talk going down to an almost inevitable defeat against Geelong on the Flyer. We had Skilton and that gave us a chance. Always a chance and hope. And we had Papley. And a few Dean Towers almost match winners. And we had a few future champions like Aliir. All the best to the young man tonight, Go the Bloods.

There a lot of big bodies in the Cats team, im hoping our younger up and comings dont get crunched in the first quarter!

Nope!
I've been told on here that I'm too generous with my Swans positivity about club & players & perhaps rightly so.
So now I am saying that for a team that has an out dated slingshot gameplan that hasn't changed for a few years & with a team that consists of Towers, Sinclair, Naismith, McVeigh & Lloyd, I'm not expecting to win tonight or come close & that in turn puts me in the right frame of mind to not freak out when tonight, I see McVeigh pointing, Towers stuff up time & again, Lloyd run in circles achieving nothing, Naismith running out of puff in the first Q or getting broken up at the first ruck contest or Sinclair dropping marks & going down holding his knee.

Anything that happens better than the above will then be most enjoyable & watching AA make acceptable mistakes because he is learning his craft will be watched by me with total control.
I won't yell at the TV & I will leave swansrule100 to comment as he pleases on the game day thread as it is his own way of supporting the club he loves so much.
I now respect that. May we all enjoy the game in own own special manner.

Now I am not taking the p.ss here folks I am serious. Just sit back & chill out expecting the loss coming our way.

Should we some how win because Geelong are the most over rated team in the competition alongside North the I will resume my usual manner on here where I only see eveything with rose coloured glasses!

Cheerio then!
