Last week was against a supposed very good side as well and he spent over 40% of the game on the bench.

Did his job last week. He'll give a contest that's all I'm asking.

Thursday night football is shithouse.

It's all about $$$ unfortunately.

I still think footy is a better spectacle during the day, nothing against night games in general but surely the AFL can afford to give us a few more games in better time slots, money isn't everything!

Just like last week am going into this game quietly confident of a small win but would prefer a 10 goal smashing. I know this is a dated view of tactics these days but.............Play one on one whenever they have the ball, Swans. (or they will kill us on the outside )

Pretty disappointed that Heeney missed out. Would have thought that a home game against the Hawks would be a great motivator for him to bounce back. We're going to be counting on him come finals and he needs to show he can stand up.

I know he's been quiet lately but the kid's an absolute star and I would have backed him in.
Keep him up our sleeves. Don't wanna show all your cards in the precursor. Plenty of time for heeney to get himself right (whether confidence and/or health) and even go up a rung before seasons end, then bam, dawks will see something they haven't seen come the finale.

Very, very nervous about this one. Genuine rivalry based on hot competition between the clubs. Bookies have Swans as favourites and deservedly so given your recent form and that it's being played at the SCG. A loss for us will put us back in the pack - but I guess that's somewhere we've been used to these past few years at this stage of the season. A a win will put us 8pts clear and looking good for top two. Midfield is where you guys will prob have the ascendency. Hopefully we can counter this with good ruck work. Interested to see how Aliir Aliir goes (not too well, I hope).

Usually don't pay attention to bookies for these type of clashes between our teams - it's usually the "underdog" that comes out firing and ultimately wins, bar the one yr from memory where we had several experienced outs and several youngers in who weren't ready which made the result obvious for mine. Though swannies are favourites for this, it somehow has a good feel about it. :D

I have the kittie. They know swans are playing haha, they'd never let it go.

Haha just tell them you thought the basketball game was tomorrow lol

yer, i gotta work too. Decisions. Watch first half, go to work, miss third quarter, watch last if I can get it onto the work tv. Watch first half, record second and avoid tv at work, watch last half when I get home at 5am. Avoid game and all electronic stuff, record and watch when i get home at 5am. Avoid game and electronic stuff, record , go to sleep when I get home and watch when I get up arvo some time and watch with breakfast beers. hmmm

The umpires will let this game go a lot, let it play out since it has a GF feel to it.

Those options have become next to impossible in this day and age.

Why even mention this? Did we not beat you on your homeground last time?
