Just a question as I have no idea.
Can a club move down the draft through trades and still retain their father/son pick?
For example,
Melbourne trade pick 3 to Collingwood for pick 18 and player x.
Could Melbourne still get Viney at 18 as well as the additional player while Collingwood turn pick 18 and a mid tier player into a gun draft pick?
