We should fire who is in charge of the match day game plan.
We should also fire whoever implemented that BS defensive zone that all teams can do circle work around.
We should also fire whoever is in charge of training as the skills (by hand and foot) are terrible and sub standard for AFL players.
Whoever did not show the initiative and get a training session with your next door neighbors (Storm) and get some tackling instructions should also go.
If Buckley is not one of them he can stay.

Need to fire the strength coach too, steal Geelong program and trainers.

Yet we allowed the outnumber in the 2nd and 3rd quarters where once again we failed to score a goal for a half or more of footy.

That’s right the question is why?
I can only assume the idea was to stay close enough so that we could be aggressive in the last QTR.
If we hadn’t missed the early goals in the last qtr the strategy may have worked.

Yes the same shit strategies that lost us 2018.

Buckleys rope a dope footy that was also used in 2019 and why we let soo many teams either back into the game or had a win become a loss.

Trying to play off 1 great quarter then parking the bus.

Disposal efficiency is one aspect of our game that is delorable. That has nothing to do with fact that when players lifted their heads and looked forward either no one was there or they were incapable of making a contest or locking the ball in.

1st and last QTR there were more I50 targets when we evened up fwd numbers.
Contests and to a lessor extent locking the ball is not Buckley’s game plan issue.

Willingly giving up momentum to try i assume sap the opposition with restriction but it allows them to play aggressive and pepper the goal face whilst making it near impossible for us to score and also loses confidence that you gained in q1.

It's a horrible strategy.

Loki - you’re not a dumbo, so you would understand Buckley has a reason for this approach, which is personnel related I suspect.

Imo there was no reason to do it and it is a hinderance to the teams both short term and long term development.

Under Bucks barring 2018 we have always struggled to score fluently and the connection from midfield to forwards has also been a constant flaw.
Would argue the 3rd constant is Grundys connection with the midfield and then subsequent clean clearances by the mids.

He knows how to set up behind the ball we all know that, but he needs to find a way to bring the attacking side and cohesion (not just talking goals but ball movement and players working for each other to create space).

I'd rather see us lose by a greater margin but watch the team develop these flaws, in a year we are losing anyway, then watch us play negative footy to limit the dmg.

Also I'm not overly fuss that we are losing, I think we all accept where the club and team is at.
But I do get quite frustrated at seeing us play the same failed systems and often not looking likely that the players or coaches have any understanding on how to fix it.

I also am very worried about where our next elite marquee players are going to come from, it almost feels like we draft sanctioned ourselves given the amount of wasted low end picks traded or mispicked.

It's the cattle mate, you'll get the exact same result with or without him, and Buckley didn't blow 8 1st round picks for zero players on the list and destroy the salary cap signing aging players on bloated contracts, you're not sacking the right people
Cool, let's sign Bucks up for another 5 years.

Or cry about it for 5 years, juggle maybe, take up macrame. Really won't matter what we do in a rebuild, it's going to be ugly and you can thank the recruiting and list management dept for that

Just fire the people that put us here and cost us a flag

Welcome to the rebuild, you might wanna take up a calming hobby for the next 5 years

Putrid performance - hopefully Buckley one game closer to pulling the pin.
I would, I'd say thanks for blowing 8 x 1st round draft picks for zero players and giving bloated contracts to aging slow injury riddled players so we couldn't afford anyone decent, I'm outties, call me when you know how to run a ****ing club

When we are three goals up, why not play 5 minutes of play on at all costs footy? Take a risk and try to widen the gap. We don’t seem to unsettle sides by changing things up. I don’t subscribe to conserving energy when your’e in front. The team that’s behind uses more energy. We shouldn’t be PLANNING for the oppo to have a period of momentum. It‘s not a game of my turn, your turn. I feel like Bucks thinks momentum shifts are inevitable so he accommodates them. Slow as a glacier to react on game day.
