Some rare good news from Seven. They will be going live in to Melbourne (as they should with every interstate match ) with the Sydney vs Carlton match next Friday from the SCG being broadcast on their main channel and the Royal Wedding to be shown on 7Two.

A smart decision by them and should be a ratings winner as every other channel will probably be showing the wedding, which not everyone wants to watch!

I think we'll see the match in Sydney on 7mate or 7TWO. If only that was the case for FNF every week in Sydney.

Seven's coverage of the match between the Sydney Swans and Carlton is yet to be decided, though Seven programmer Tim Worner said digital channels could prove the answer.

"There is no way Seven News won't be covering the royal wedding and we take our commitment to AFL coverage just as seriously. There could be a job for 7TWO or 7mate here."

no. when the lions played on this thursday night fixture during the 5 years 9 had the rights. they only once didn't show the game live into brisbane. this is the 4th year brisbane will be playing on a friday or thursday night and 7 haven't shown any of those games live into brisbane
