Is it fair to say we usually play like shit in those slippery, cold conditions?

I'd say so. We did pretty well considering how hot the footy was in close. But I reckon the turnovers go up about 20% during dewy night games if it's a competitive game. It's not often you see Tiger and Mal caught as often as that, that's for sure.

Thought it was a good game tonight, we were a bit lucky, thought you guys were going to take it off us at the end. Mal did a great job on Barry and i just had to bring this quote up from earlier in the thread. Not having a go at the poster, but how great is Ryder.

Looks like I have to eat some humble pie.

I never disputed Ryders ability but I thought O’Loughlan’s experience could make him a little too wiley for him. But I now have to say for a youngster Ryder can read the play above his years.

Just wanted 2 say thanks for not acting like Richmond supporters. I know you guys are burning about the umpiring, especially the McPhee decision I suspect. But thanks for not ranting and raving and coming onto our board and swearing at us. One Richmond supporter even suggested the match be replayed. So thanks for acting mature about the situation. True class guys.

That's partly because we know that the Swans were just as much contributors to their downfall as any other factors.

I'm not that mad about the McPhee decision. Umpires are human and mistakes can be made.

I am mad about the complete lack of consistency of the umpiring decisions - not all in our direction. Both teams copped some rough calls.

That, and the fact that the leaders of the AFL have no bloody idea about a contact sport.

Thought our backline was sensational last night, though. Leo, Bolton and Teddy really showed everyone how to spoil, mark and handle the ball under pressure in particular.

Yep. For all the clear thrusts the Bombers got, those three did a remarkable job in keeping the score down.

Ted, in particular, played his best game for the year. I was a bit worried about him early because he turned the ball over a couple of times but he definintely settled down and was one of the best handful.
