Roy didn't look unfit today...batting was in good touch and his fielding was, as always, superb.

Could be reward for winning matches for the team at crucial times- check the big knocks from Roy- not to mention his superb one day bowling and the fielding skills he brings with him. didn't really need him today, fortunately- top order did their job, which I believe you said wouldn't happen against the Saffie attack - and then the bowlers took care of the rest.

Bad luck for Hodge, but the selectors now realise we are in the critical period of the world Cup- and with the proven players ready to go, Hodge's bat sits....he needs to eb ready to come off the bench when required...so he better not be sulking. I'm sure there are dozens of players who would happily take his place.

People seem to forget that over more than 100 games, Clarke has one of the best averages and strike-rates of all-time.
