Kirkby will get pikced up in eiother the rookie or PSD. i wouldn't mind Smith in Black and Yellow next year along with Kirkby
From what the sources and insiders tell me, Smith is training at Carlton and Pagan has expressed interest in having him there on the rookie list, will mean spending some time with the bullants which should be nothing but beneficial for him to prove himself for a possible promotion should there be an opening on the senior list. Only have to look at Adam Bentick also from the cannons who trained hard and proved himself to get promoted which resulted in him playing a few seniors games towards the end of 2004. The Bullants coaching staff will no doubt work with Smith as they did with Bentick and still are doing with Setanta for development purposes.

Grundy would be a show. I'd say he and Kirkby would be the frontrunners as they are KPPs, but Sharp is a goer too. I think teams would want to rookie JDS and see if he can perform at VFL level before promoting him to an AFL list, though.

He has acknowladged himself that he wasn't and isn't the fastest guy running aroun on a football field. Just have a look at Davey as another example, talking proving yourself at VFL level though. Should JD be able to string some consitant performances we can where we go from there.

Both Chris and Sam Gooley are training with the blues at the moment...They would have to be a good chance considering they're probs the best young key position players still available in the country...and clubs these days seem to take a punt on key position players over midfielders..
