Sorry for the intrusion but i read this article and thought he was spot on, but i wanted to kno what the demons board think of on who on there list is "soft" or who lacks leadership? i absolutely think they made the right choice on trengove and grimes but think they need alot of leadership around them to get the best out of Trengove&Grimes.

When someone says soft to me i immediately think C. Morton....

I think our worries are more the mentally soft than the physically.

Davey, Sylvia, Moloney, Green.

Moloney?? i think hes been one of ur best seems to do what the coach wants him to do.. absolutely agree with the rest, green is a worry... trade or delist

I think for the players, after 186 it was was just a matter who cares anymore. That seems to be the way theyre playing. I wish they would realise how pathetic they are. Every week someone comes out and says something exactly like what Kennelly has said. Dear melb players, you're a laughing stock.

The words that really rang home for me were: "it's quite embarrassing really for a football club to go through this for so long."

Even those outside the club have an appreciation for how long this has gone on and are sharing the frustration of the supporters who have had a gutful of gutless performances. Those who have followed this club for forty years are saying this is our lowest ever point.

His defensive efforts have been terrible this year, as have all of the players I listed.

If I could correct one thing from the past 5 years, just one thing, it would be James Mcdonalds retirement. That man shows more leadership than our entire list right now.

Does it count as a 'retirement' if you're pushed?

true, whatever it was, it was about as respectful as a delisting and he sure as hell didn't deserve it... And we're paying for it now.

Would love to hear some of the Melbourne greats come out and say something. (ie, Flower, Neitz)

I think Allen Jakovich makes the odd quote on his twitter every now and again.

Any word on if Tadhg grandma is nominating for the draft this year?

Nah she broke her femur in 2 places reaching for her 2nd Marie biscuit... Scan still to confirm, but 'father time' may have got the better of her...

C Morton! And to think we could of had P Dangerfield or C Rioli!!!!!

Doesn't matter who you get when your senior players think it is acceptable to go clubbing on the night of suffering the second biggest defeat in the history of football.

well said Tadgh.

The sad part is that even if our senior players read the article, they would still serve up the same crap.

Bunch of mentally weak pansies.

I have thus far refrained from commenting on the basis I may swear many times, but agree with Kennelly 100%. He could have gone further and individualized some of those completely insipid peahearts that are pulling on the jumper.

There is something rotten at this club.

If we can't find the smell soon, might as well bin the lot.

I am embarrassed to say I support the Melbourne Football Club.

I've already done that. On the main board and the Bay for that matter.

Six, to be exact. The particular malignancy within our playing group right now as far as I can see, who have such a disastrous effect on everyone else and on our overall performance.

Green, Davey, Moloney, Sylvia, Bennell, Dunn.

It pains me to say it but I now can't wait to see the back of Moloney. The efforts he is putting in on the field right now are nothing short of disgusting. His actions are those of a sook. Yes he copped a rough blow but you swallow your pride and get over it for the good of your teammates. Sylvia has always been a downhill skier so it's hard to judge if he currently gives a shit or not, but Moloney is simply not bothering anymore. Both of them need to **** off quickly while they have some semblance of value on the trade table. Davey and Green may just be past it.

We're devoid of senior leadership and utterly screwed with them here anyhow so might as well start from ground zero and cut our losses.

Yes!! the club has no onfield leaders, so no one knows who to turn to when things turn sour, then they all end up fending for themselves. i dont know about starting from ground zero, but we need to remove the rot, repair those who can be repaired, and fix this f***r

I agree... I would top up from other clubs...

Imagine getting a Brad Sewell or Matthew Boyd type across, who would turn this clubs training and application on its head!!! We need leaders, we need big bodies and we need good personalities.

We have had some real knobs at this club, with the likes of 'Burnout Mclean' 'Boozehead Sylvia' and 'Fashion Week Moloney'....

I still think missing Luke Ball in the draft a few years ago was a mistake. He would not have been our best infield, but offers all that we do not have!!
