Of the uncontracted players left im leaning toward Blake, played all year in a good side with the exception of 6 or so games when staff took care of him ...finds plenty of the agot...would fit in well

Blake is a pretty handy player. He can provide plenty of ruck relief and i've seen him courageously drift into defence taking marks and causing spills plenty of times. Would be worth selecting in the PSD because at the Saints he is to much of a fringe player where at Richmond he is good enough to command a spot in the starting 22.

I believe Knobel is the best option and could be a very handy pickup! I also believe instead of using 1 of our top 5 picks on a ruckman we should look at drafting cain ackland with pick 60 or 65 maybe even 49 depending on whether we can be guaranteed of getting him! ruckman r usually overrated and cain has the potential to be a very valuable forward as he is a strong mark and reliable kick for goal, whilst also being handy playing ruck around the ground. Terry must make sure his head is right before considering it i know but i just reckon being delisted should/will give him the kick in the backside he needs to realise his full potential.
This will allow us to pick up another gifted midfielder such as Eckerman or Ryan jackson and or a quality KPP instead of using it on a reasonable ruckman who is really limited in their versatility and skills and i don't believe will add a great deal to the team compared to the chance of grabbing a quality midfielder or KPP.
anyone else have any thoughts?

Actually i meant to say blake is the best option! knobel is a pelican who would be lucky to get a total of 25 posessions a year

im pretty much thinking the same thing. ackland with a late pick and then blake in the psd. blake can at least play a number of positions unlike knobel who would be taking up space on the bench for 20 mins a quarter.

No we could use Blake as a CHB which will allow schultz forward! Ackland will be used to play ruck giving us 4 options in the ruck with Blake the 5th and very last option if things get very very drastic but i would see him as a handy player in the backline not a ruckman.

Knobel = no

Ackland = no , why ? ........... We`ve had our fair share of idiots we have tried to turn around over the years and without quoting the stats , our success rate is very ordinary . Terry Keays , Aaron James , Steven Jackson, John Rombotis , and our most recent gem , Ty Zantuck are but to name 5 .

If Port Adelaide ( the reigning premiers ) could not get the boy`s head straight , what makes you think we can ?

Next people will be saying we should have a look at Lawrence Angwin

I must admit Lawrence Angwin does have a shyteload of talent! u could be on 2 something ;)

Blake is no bigger than A Kellaway and Kellaway is easily a better player. We would be stupid to go for Blake. At least Knobel can win alot of hit outs and set up centre breaks. Knobel is a decent kick and mark. Why is everyone rating him because he had no stats in his last 2 games? It's only 2 games and who says he had alot of opportunity to get possesions in those games anyway? Don't forget he had a heap of hit outs. Knobel would be alot more useful than Blake.
