What's really offensive is suggesting that our team tank. Like wtf, do you really think they would?? Would Pav or Belly tank? Sure....

Team has lost the know how and confidence to win. Tanking will surely help that Tanking is a disgrace, and would breed an even worse 'culture' in the club.

Well you could have backed me up in the thread I started, geez. You've got all these "heroes" who call themselves supporters thinking they know what is what when they can't see the forest from trees.

When we lose 8 players at the end of this year most supporters here want us to have crappy pics, because it means we would have won some games this year. And that way they can continue to complain, year after year, that we are bad bad bad and never improve.

We need to BLOOD 5-8 outside 22 players each game for the rest of the year to see who really is worth keeping. Luckily we have 4 fringe 22 experienced players who aren't doing much anyhow.

Losing for years on end is what breeds this culture, we have almost NOTHING to look forward to at the moment besides Mayne and Palmer. Our list management has been shocking and to CHANGE that requires some bad year(s). I'd rather have played 8 outside 22 players today and lost by 50 then lose by 3 as we did, it's pathetic. At least if we played the outside 22 young players we'd have something to look forward to besides "wow macmanus is bad, johnson is crap, yeah".

So what happens once we get Rich after deliberately losing all year? We suddenly reprogram the other 30 odd players on our list to be winners instead of losers?

Or do we wait 5 years until we manage to turn over our whole list? By which time all our youngsters have inherited a losing culture anyway.

Tanking is vicious circle that develops a bad culture and ensures failure. Hawthorn are where they are through good drafting and trading more than tanking. The sooner people realise that the better.
