comes back up i think, "you little ripper", decide that thursday i will send the code off because i dont have work or study
set up my printer which i havent used for a while, realise the ink is cooked, either it's run out or it's stuffed from sitting around so long

maybe one day ill get to play!

Just ordered for the game yesterday, been playing demo for a while, awesome game, when do use think I will get it in, I paid money order, hopefully it will come in tuesday at the latest
 
yeah will be next week sometime, you are probably spot on with tuesday, i need some bloody ink first.. unless i printed it off at college somehow
 
Ripper game - lonie and others who are more experienced, what sort of tactics do you use, allso, what difficulty? i play on the 2nd easiest one, signup is really hard, some guys r really greedy, i have an onballer who is 88:eek: overall, unbelievable player, but wants 900,000 per year in 2010, dunno if i can afford to keep him any more. great game, a definite must buy.
Also i managed to take the dees to 3 prelim finals in a row on another savegame, but then finished down in 15th i think and got the flick, and have coached :mad: the Pies:mad: to 3 premierships in a row:D

Well I play on easy (the 2037 thread, months back was on simple, considering it was my first game and kept going). The reason is, not because I am crap at the game, it is because I feel if I want to go longer, i need it on that level for everything. I guess though the best thing is to have the admin/recruiting/trading etc. on simple, simply because you want the game to continue on, and when there will be consistently major obstacles in releasing players due to the negotiations, and the limited trading, then you get disinterested. Opposition on match day can be anything you like, but yeah.

Tactics, well, I kick long, that's it really,
 
Mine took from wednesday til tuesday i think, but the website was down the whole time

Love the game, just played up to 2010, led Geelong to 2 premierships (05 and 06) and been in finals most years. In 2009 Nath Ablett won the goalkicking and the brownlow, pretty good effort. The only things I am struggling with is All Australian selections, I mean, I finish in the top 6 nearly every year and in the 6 years I have played I have only had 6 players making AA, even in Nath's stellar 2009 he didnt get AA. I have only had Hunt x2, Kelly, Mcpharlin (traded for him at end of 04), Tenace, Mcphee (traded for him at end of 05) and Nath Ablett (08). Anyone got any tactics for getting your players in the AA team. Also is there anywhere you can review previous AA teams, besides going through and finding each individual players.

Also I have struck another dilemma, My players from the start (G Ablett, Bartel, Kelly etc) are costing so bloody much, not really a question but just an observation, how does everyone else deal with their star players, my centre line is costing me over half my money, leaving me struggling over the rest of the ground

I'm sure this has been discussed before but a bug that is really annoying me is when another team requests a trade for a player of mine in return for a draft pick I then don't get to use that pick, in the trade window it never appears as being mine and then in the draft page I don't get to make that selection, it is done automatically and the player isn't on my list. Very annoying as I just traded away a decent player for pick 3 in a very strong draft and didn't get to use the pick. Anyone have a solution for this?

All fine for me...traded Daniel Cross and some draftee for Pick 4 - used Pick 4 !!!

It's strange, not sure if it happens all the time or just occasionally. What I noticed was that when the trade was executed, the player I traded moved acoss to the other team's list, but the draft pick did not appear in my list of picks. Then on the draft page, in the list of draft pick order, it was there with my team against it, but in all capitals, as opposed to all my other picks which appeared as normal. The pick was then filled automatically but the player that was selected did not appear on my team list after the draft. I might have a bit of a hunt around and see if that player is on anyone's list or whether he's just disappeared...

The problem occured for me when the other team initiated the trade and offered me one pick for one player.

Yeah thats been mentioned before.. only happens when the other team does it. I think you have to decline that trade, and then offer them the same trade.. that way you can use the pick.

Oh, so if the other team makes the proposal - got ya...they are so ghey the trades, but get the point.

eg.
Western Bulldogs (AI) Daniel Johnson - R - Age:24 - Ov: 66 - Imp: 0
Collingwood (Me) Jack Smith - SF - Age:21 - Ov: 72 - Imp: 12

Yep. You don't get to use the draft pick. Really stupid and only flaw I've found. :)
