I must agree, it has.

I baked, cooked and cleaned on Saturday. I was so domesticated it was sickening

At least I have an SANFL Prelim final still to look forward too;)

After that wil have to take all my empty beer bottles back.

One youngster I would love at our club is Nick Smith from Melbourne. 195 cm KPP, last years captain of SA under 18 side. Has GREAT pair of hands. Primarily CHF. Was taken lat year wit pick 15 or 16. Can also pinch hit in the ruck. Has been staring at CHF in VFL.

Definetly worth going after;)

Are we going after him? What would we be willing to trade?

Not sure! Melbourne would want something very good for him as they see him as their CHF for the next 10 years. They took him at pick 15 last year so they would want at least that in return.

We could look at Ricky Mott, played 17 games with Swans in 2002, was given marching orders after coming back to start preseason overweight. Has since gone back to Perth and is a rookie listed Docker. He is 200cm's and 100kg + still only 22. Dont reckon he would cost us much as he was taken at 71 in the draft. Maybe Mott and a draft pick for Stenglein, or perhaps Perrie in the mix.

Can't trade rookie listed players;)

Theres a good idea Mott was very unlucky to be dropped sounds like he didn't get on with Roos. I am sure Roos would have liked to have him now!

Mott looks too slow for the AFL. Makes Porter look like a speed demon.

Mark Jamar has signed up with the Dees for two years.

Anyone know how long Barry Brooks is signed up for at St Kilda? Does he still want to return to SA?

I would rather trade a player or 2 and get a very early 2nd round pick so we can select Brent Hall from South Fremantle. I have heard that Crows are keen on him but I wouldn't be picking him up with pick 14. Mihgt be a bit rich and I doubt very much whether he'll be available with pick 29.

So we need to get our hands on pick 19 from the Doggies or 20 from Melbourne

So why arent we looking at picking him with out first pick?

We need young ruckmen. He fits the bill. Why muck around?

I wouldn't do it. He is probably worth early to mid 2nd round. Why give away a 1st round draft pick??????

We must make it spot on in this draft:)

0% chance of Smith being traded. First round pick that has shown a lot of potential in his first year.

Give us Mark Ricciuto, Andrew McLeod and Brett Burton and he's all yours.

In other words, there is no chance of Adelaide getting him.

Read into it what you will, but according to the Tiser, Rucci reckons Guerra is "likely" to be traded to the Kangaroos.

That has been doing the rounds for a while now. No surprise really considering that Guerra is your typical shinboner. I reckon who ever picks him up has got themselves one VERY good utility.

He would have been great with us:(

Another interesting sentence from that article is:
Ayres appears destined to be reliant on the uncertain ways of young, developing players.
Suits me just fine :)

Lade is also yet to sign with the power. Apparently Paxman has retired

So essentailly we require the following:

Ruckmen - prefer 2 - Hall from WA? Dubenecki ?
A key forward - Gayfer, possibly Watts or Morrison
A key defender - Parker and hopefully another

Eddie Sansbury

If this is the best we can manage for 2004 how would you feel?

Realistically we will only draft 1 ruckman
Either of the 3 forwards would do me fine
would want one more than Parker
Need someone who is more verstile that Sansbury;)
