I rekon you're being a bit rough on Lockyer. In 2003 he had a knee re-co and stress fractures in his foot. Perhaps he has lost some of his pace.
 
presti stats are good: 8.2 1%ers per game and stuff all goals kicked on him, the only important stat for a full back. the stats back him up.

tarks - not a back pocket imho, at least not all the time.

Why can't Ablett beat a hack? This is the 2nd time he's been carved up by Tarkyn.

Collingwood controlled all the play you idiot. If Lockyer "beat" Ablett, why didn't he win any(NONE!) contested ball against him? I explained this in the post you quoted. Due to Geelong getting creamed, our forwards had no hope... we have all seen this hack getting towled up once his midfield stops winning contests so lets just leave it there.

Why is it always collingwood supporters who require in-depth explanation of everything... pfft.. :D
 
Lockyer is a front runner and reminds be of the classic Geelong players I have watched for my whole life.

so let me get this straight, what you are saying is that while his team was getting flogged, the bloke a number of people have said could quite well be the future captain of the geelong football club, allowed a... what was it? "soft, pansy hack" to do as he pleased under absolutely no pressure whatsoever.

it sounds like you're saying that g.ablett jnr is nothing more than a selfish kick chaser. let's face it, on the night he couldn't even do that properly.

yeah i admit that i have a nice portion of egg on my face atm
he has been great this year
hope he can continue it for the rest of 2007 and onwards
 
Playing in a totally different position now. Love him on the ball. As long as his job isn't to stop a small forward I'm happy. The bloke is just too unaccountable in the back pocket.
