For breaching protocal for failing to advise the Club fully about what happened on Saturday night.

Are the management intent on screwing this season from the inside? How about they get a kick in the ar*e for declaring the Darwin trip a bloody mid season holiday in the first place. WTF???:thumbsd:
 
Now we have to wait yet another week to see our new forward structure.
At the end of the day, this could well be another nail in CC's coaching coffin.
I don't ever remember seeing another club inflicting so many wounds to itself before!! I'm so perplexed!

Neither here nor there....Its not tough enough to show we are cracking down and show the competition we have some discipline within the club. Yet at the same time considering our current position within the club, another loss could be devestating.

Seriously how hard could Taz have touched up that fat prick pollie? He had a small discolouration under his eye, it wasn't even swollen, the d***head probably caused the bruising trying to take out his contacts with his beer goggles on. Angry!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am accepting of the fact that this guy probably deserved a smack.
 
Probably a fine would have done the trick but perhaps the Farmer suspension had set the precedent.

Anyway we managed alright without Tarrant last year so its not going to be that detrimental to our chances.

Lets hope Spud can rise to the occasion and create a headache for our selectors. And lets also hope that Tarrant pulls his bloody head in next time.

If the club wanted to show there was discipline within they would have all been in their own hotel that night after a supporters function ready for their flight home the next day and training that week. Bloody P*** Poor blaise attitude by the club and its really starting to wear thin. The season is 22 home and away games long, set yourself and stick to the task, not too much to ask I don't think.

Is a good decision

The more we can show that credible community behaviour is important to the fabric of a club as opposed to the arrogant, drug cheating, lying culture next door the better .

Spot on mate... just a pathetic setup by the club, Taz was just being Taz.. the guy was talking shit and got a smack in the mouth for his troubles. Move on. Nothing to see here.

And yet Taz gets the blame.
 
Tarrant deserved the punishment for sheer stupidity.

But I have a case of jealousy. I don't have the time for this right now but can someone with a bit of spare might like to research:
  • How many weeks Kerr and Cousins got for brawling at Club Bayview?
    How many weeks suspension Q Lynch got for driving drunk and running from the police?
    How many weeks Beau Waters missed for tackling a taxi while drunk at 3.00 am in the morning?
    How many weeks suspension Kerr got for attacking a taxi driver?
    Anything I've left out?

We need to stop worrying about crap like Taz having a few beers and settling a big mouthed politician down. Like the fact we're ****ing 5 and 7.

There is another side.

How many fathers did what I did and when they put no 9 on my 5 year old at Auskick and the guy said Ben Cousins, I said Matty Carr?* The property guy and I agreed we didn't want out kids having anything to do with Cousins.

I don't think anyone at Kardy Cats idolises Ben Cousins any more. Although they seem to be Dockers dominated.

My grandma is quicker over the first 10m than Matty Carr.

Ben Cousins is a fantastic footballer. Worrying about what happens off the field, in my mind is absolutely irrevelant. They should be able to play regardless of what happens offfield.

There is too much pandering to the PC crowd of naysayers who seem to be intent on destroying our game with a bunch of their vocal minority mates who haven't even seen a game played. Taz's suspension is just another load of shit where the club has put the latte crowd infront of its members who are ****ing devestated at how the club has gone this year, but are still hopeful and supporting. And we'll be here after the PC crowd has another target.

Maybe someone will accidently cut down a tree, that should get sufficient lefties here to whinge about the club and footballers in general.

It pisses me off we have got to go thru this shit for the sake of being seen to make a stand rather than making it as a internal disciplinary issue voluntarily.

But what you and GJ and Polly miss is that the goal posts have changed since Kerr and Cousins ****ed up. Thanks to Cousins Vlad expects and has dictated a standard of behaviour that needs to followed and consequences for failure.

Vlad has turned this game into handbags at 10 paces. We're never gonna see another Basil Campbell tearing around the field or Ronny Boucher. I'm not saying that I want to see blood on the field or kids growing up to think drinking and punching people is alright but you cant remove the shirtfront and give all the pub pricks a free card to push the AFL star around and penalise him when he deservedly thumps the prick.

I don't dispute anything you say here FreoDock. What I find disturbing however is that you've lumped me in with the radical right brigade:D. Joking lads!
I find the reason given for the suspension quite ridiculous, its contrived purely to appease the AFL and the image of the club. It serves only one purpose and that is to harm the club. Im not saying that was the intention but it is the consequence.

Kerr is due for a court case soon for punching into a 17 year kid while his dad was holding the kid... If found guilty hanging to see what happens. Think the court case is in Aug...

As far as Taz goes, He was stupid for getting involved, but also the club were stupid for allowing them to go out ...It seems with the mid season break playing in darwin wives and girlfriends were along for the ride it must have felt like the season was over and come on boys lets getted smashed !

What happened to the days of lets have a win and go for a few drinks .. Not lose and go out and party ...!!!!

Thats a very articulate spray at the AFL. That latte crowd you refer to is the AFL. Its not us poor buggers. We didn't change the rules.

In fact, you should be over at the Eagles Board lambasting them for their pi**weak approach to ethics which wouldn't have brought all this PC stuff down on our heads.

Ask them how many weeks they gave Felcher for carking it? Kerr? Cousins? Braun? If they weren't such a basket case the AFL would never have stepped in.
