I would prefer tenace to johnson. Johson is a freak but breaksdown to easy and is more of a half forward. tenace has a problem with his kicking but so did dane swan and he ironed it out. If tenace improved his kicking he could be very good and would give us much need pace.
Kelly I would definately consider , I still think he is a very good player who had a bad year. We need some grunt ni the guts and he would add this.

Pick 8 + Kelly for Tarrant and pick 28?

I would be wrapped if we did that deal. Both players have shown some potential and probably need a change of location to give their careers a kick. We would then go into the draft with pick 8 and 10. Depending on who else is available, we could trade one of those for a top quality mid from another team, or grab one in the draft. T.Cloke and Rusling should be able to fill Tarrant's role next year.

I reckon I'd be pretty happy with Kelly and either Johnson or Tenace and I think it would be a fairly even trade for both clubs.
As to who I'd rather take out of Johnson or Tenace....I'd probably lean towards Johnson. If we can somehow get his head right I think he could be a sensational player. Hmmmm sounds a bit like Tarrant though.

I'd be rapt with Kelly and Tenace. All of a sudden our midfield would be looking very different. Kelly and Pick 8 would be just as good. Collingwood would jump at that if it was on the table.
Everitt is past his best, forget him he can retire for all i care!!! I would take mabye tenace....i dont think anyone from Geelong is that great, i would rather do a deal with west coast.
I wouldn't think West Coast would offer enough given they just won the flag and their forwards were good enough against a stifling side like Sydney. Everitt is a bit long in the tooth but he'd allow us to draft a ruckman and dump Fanning and maybe trade Richards. Hawks may even swap Richards for Everitt in sort of deal.
Don't think he'll be off to WCE after they ruled themselves out but id prefer tenace + pick 7 rather than kelly. Dont get me wrong i wouldnt mind kelly but tenace has the speed we are looking for. Steve Johnson wouldnt be a bad option but we have similar players to him in our forward line atm anyway. I doubt this deal will be done but getting our hands on another top10 pick and Tenace would be gold!!
I think the injury to Didak and the suspension to Holland has thrown a spanner in the works. Initially i am guessing we probably would have wanted two first rd picks for Tarrant but now would be after a ready made player and a pick.
Otherwise i think we will be light on for numbers and may as well write off next season.
Personally i would not be trading Tarrant. I would be offering up Lockyer, Licuria, Davies, J Clo, Cameron Cloke etc.
As for players to target i would be after either Cross, Black and Kelly. Simon Black would be perfect for our team as we need a ball winner.

personally I'd hate to see him go but if they really want to trade him, go for pick 7 and Travis Varcoe. Varcoe is lightning and a pretty good kick from the VFL prelim final I watched. Word has it that Varcoe would have gone top5 last year if he hadn't stuffed his foot. It's unlikely we'll win it next year so lets' build for the future.

Not much interest in Varcoe. Struggled to get involved in the few games I saw him play. Maybe he'll make me eat my words, but seemed to be a poor man's Chrissy Egan!

tonight at the gym i was speaking to a bloke who was at the collingwood grand final breakfast..he said he spoke to everitt who was there and he said taz is definetly going...
