Tarrant?

i think bring in cloke to replace him, but move tarrant to the wing or something. get him away from the tall leading forward. use him more as a midfielder.

he's not the only person out of form. also, he gets r*ped by defenders week in week out. rocca is terribly out of form also... should we drop him?!

I think it might be time to give Taz a run down at Willi. IMO opinion it could possibly serve two purposes 1) to give him a kick up the arse and send him the message that he has to perform to keep his spot in the side and 2) to play him into some form.

Hopefully he'd go back, kick a bag and come back in for the WC game with a bit of confidence and get back to at least some of the form he was in earlier in the year.

Having said all that however I really doubt that he'll get the chop, especially after MM comments after the game. It's also not as if there's anyone consistently kicking bags of goals at Willi who is knocking on the door.

you can't possibly keep playing a guy who isn't in form and who really struggles out there. one passage in the final term, it was a 2 on 1 marking contest at chb for the pies. Tarrant stands there, the saints defender jumps over the top, spoils, crumbs it, runs to 50 and went bang. All that time taz just stood there like a spare *****.

If he wants to go, let him go, but we need him to find some form in the magoo's and say- 'we aren't gonna play you until you get form back, and show us you reallyw anna play for this jumper'.

Malthouse was so hypocrtical in his press conference:

he says he wont bag taz because he doesnt bag his players and that he's never done it as a coach...

Excuse me mr malthouse, although you're a good coach, care for me to remind you of 2003- "Jason Cloke played betetr in last year;s grand final'.

Correct me if i'm wrong, but that's a relaly bad bagging effort.

Taz is a loose cannon, and needs a foot up the arse.

Rocca to fat useless lard.

a little harsh.

I wasn't at the game today, watched it on telly and it looked as though ant was playing from chf. if this was the case why doesn't MM play him out of the goal square? when he's kicked big bags and played his best games this year that's where he's played.

as I said I wasn't at the game and as he didn't get alot of it he didn't feature prominently on the coverage so if he did play out of the square then ignore my previous comment. (a quiet possibly the one that I started with:D)

Tarrant's last 5 weeks >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Daylight>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Rocca's

This is probably Tarrant's only shocker this season.

Maybe but he doesnt put in hard. The last 5 weeks have been bad. Ok he got 3 cheap goals last week but you take out 8 goals from 40 and divide it by 13 and you can see his influence on a game.

Tarrant has been better than Rocca in the last month. Our tall fowards are not in form. It happens. They'll snap out of it, hopefully sooner rather than later.

Im 38 years old and its a love hate relationship with the pies. I love them and then again i hate them. Drop tarrant and rocka next week so if we lose again at least we tried something different. You can not keep losing with the same team it just has me hating them.:D

rocca is the richo of collingwood...you cant drop him even if his form stinks he will still contest marks, and occupy the best tall forward. get roccas arse in the square away from chf and get him to lead up the spine and kick it to the guy.

As for taz, as bren gc said, put the guy on a wing, give his a chance to run. esp with ruzz back another tall leading foward we can afford to. get him into the play and into form.

please dont assume that taz is a loose cannon, or he hhas a bad attitude, its fair to say no one know anything about his injuries or illnesses etc, or his mindset for that matter.

i think the midfield is were the issues in our forward line are arrising from

The thing is teams are pushing heavy numbers in to our forward 50 and clogging Rocca , to the point where he has 3 or 4 against him and they are counter-attacking off our forward thrusts.
We haven't worked out how to counter-attack the counter-attack.

Oh jesus we must have lost again - the drop Tarrant threads have started again
I'm with you on this one:
Collingwood win: Taz is a superstar forward
Collingwood lose: Tarrant is a useless underachiever.

Now the only thing that tells me is that despite people calling Rocca the most important player, clearly Tarrant is, because clearly if we lose, the only reason is his poor form, so he must carry the team....

Exactly Matty.
When we have won, you will see these same posters on the main board and on bay 13 sticking it to others about how good Taz is.

I wonder if Malthouse was referring to these posters when he gave the spray about some Collingwood supporters?

A generalisation is this is leaning towards me. Just to make sure, I haven't stated any claim to keep him in or out of the side. I am just a thread starter.
