Is that in order of how they'll finish? No way norfolk will finish ahead of clarence and i doubt north hobart will either.
NEW NORFOLK are just as strong as last year as is GLENORCHY, if CLARENCE are in a similar situation why would the positions on the ladder change from last season. If my info is correct each has lost players, but have picked up suitable replacements.

The season hasn't even started you little germ. Are you playing with the big boys this year, or are you still eligible to play auskick?

I think he is still under the age bracket Mac Eagle, tis a shame. Us Glenorchy boys would love a crack at him after reading his trash.....

I personally dont feel New Norfolk will be as strong as in the previous few years. If info is correct they have lost; Both Thompsons, Salter, Burdon, Hanlon, Barwick, Martin which is a huge amount of talent from their side. However, I still feel they will be hard to beat at home for most teams as they always are but away from home i feel they could be a lot less intimidating. Glenorchy will be strong again as i dont think they hav lost anyone of note and another solid pre-season under Newi and with another year into their young blokes should mean they will challenge again. North Hobart will be big improvers, u cant knock the inclusions of L.Walker, B.Bolton, M.Geappen, C.DeGoyer and a few other Kingston players. They are all very very good senior players who will be very damaging if remain uninjured. Hobart will be around the mark again with a few notable big blokes coming back; Unsworth, Cassidy+step brothers, Dykes and will hope their youngsters come on enough to challenge for top three. Clarence in my mind will be the run away leader all year. They have lost Cooney, Reid and Reiwoldt but will be buoyed by the fact that Triffet and Paine are not doing devils and staying with Clarence all year and the fact that they hav signed 2007 William Leitch medallist Ben Setchell as assistant coach is amazing. Brighton will improve but ive neva believed that paying big bucks for some big recruits works out in the long-term. Highly paid recruits put most other players off-side and the team neva seem to gel come cruch time in finals. Kingston are the perfect example.

Lauderdale and Kingo to fight out bottom two!

I feel Nth Hobart still need a couple of consistant BIG MEN as this is where they struggled last year, but will be big improvers. New Norfolk have recruited several proven players Bowering, Ross, a REP player from the Ovens& Murray League and a few good players from the underage. Clarence have picked up Setchell, Jamieson ,Tim Geappen, and three of thier Devils Triffett, Paine, Archer who has recovered from leg injury he carried last year. Glenorchy have gained their underage players and dont appear to have lost any Senior G/F players
So Let The Season Start, and then we will all know if we are on target with our tips.

Mate how is Donnie going there, is he playing this year ?

Not sure mate, I've been back in Tassie for a few years now, but when I was there he was Captain. Good bloke, can also play the game!

Last I heard they were still struggling!

God mate calm down im just stating my opinion like everyone else is on here. I never said that new norfolk are going to finish last or mouthed off about anyone im just saying that clarence and glenorchy look to have better teams on paper than the others.
God everytime i open my mouth on here i get yelled at.

Mathew Westfield in the Devils leadership group??? Anyone have any thoughts on this?
Well he will definately make them look good with his great looks and perfect hair. he copped the best spray from armstrong i have ever heard against geelong a few years back to the tune of fu*k off back to the NTFL, your not up wo this level pal and he never played another game since!

Bowering if he gets himself fit could be good but needs to get over himself and knuckle down into training. Ross, i assume Patrick from glenorchy is far from a proven senior player in fact has played reserves there for the last 2 years and is a fringe player at best. As i said Clarence should bolt in.

Yeah thats fair enough mate, I just was stating my opinion that the above bold quote is rubbish, as it is january and no one will know the extent of the playing lists until the season starts.

Kent Tyson looks set to take over the coaching of Deloraine in a non player role. Good bloke who has the respect of the players and the ability to do a good job. All the best to Clive Poulton who did a stellar job last year.

silly season has past central hawks looking alrite can anyone tell me how the other teams are doing ?

The Hawks are in a tough situation this year. Expectations are going to be high after last season, but with the gains the lower sides have made, the Hawks could play better football and still win only 4-5 games and finish well down the ladder.

I have played with Bowring, he is a ********er, rates himself far too highly and has done himself no favours by having cracks at his teammates wives and girlfriends. Toolshiner.

Johnny Bowring - Has played at Brighton, Glenorchy, Kingston and is going to New Norfolk in 2007.

That's 4 clubs in the 8 team Premier League!

He's only got Clarence, Hobart, North Hobart and the Bombers to go for the clean sweep!

Isn't Bowring married? Wonder what his wife thinks of him cracking onto the better halves of his team mates?

we will just have to wait and see?

Will the fact that Paine, Triffett and Archer aren't playing Devils this year be that much of a bonus for Clarence, given that the 3 of them didn't play that much with the Devils in 2006?

Don't get me wrong, I think they're all good players and Clarence will win the flag again, but I can't see Clarence being any harder to beat because of this.

Setchell will slay em too.

These 4, Bolton, Geappen, Walker, Atkin - it'll be a fair SFL rep side just quietly!

Hey all i went along to kingston trainig on monday night to see what all the rumours were and they looked to be going ok from what i could see. I counted about 45 players and some of them looked pretty good to me.Big Blight looks in good shape herd him mention about several recruits from interstate and up north. I alsom watched Glenorchy train tonight they had about 30 and still look to me like they are a young bunch. I hope they can go all the way.
