FYI - Carlton side below:

B – Grigg, Jamison, O’hAilpin
HB – Carrazzo, Thornton, Russell
C – Simpson, Stevens, Scotland
HF – Murphy, Waite, Fisher
F – Betts, Fevola, Wiggins
R – Cloke, Judd, Gibbs
Int – Bentick, Browne, Edwards, Kreuzer
Emerg – Anderson, Austin, Saddington

Think they got it right with those changes

This line looks especially good

HF: Richard Tambling, Jack Riewoldt, Trent Cotchin
F: Mitch Morton, Cleve Hughes, Nathan Brown

Looking to the future that is a very exciting forward line.
In a few years time replace brown with Connors or Edwards

I'd like to see Tambling on a half back flank maybe. The way he ran off down the wing a couple of times against Melbourne was really exciting to see.

Wiggins is a donkey, Russell a blouse, o'Hailpin quite funny and Cloke a liability.

They have their matchwinners, and no doubt feel like they're better than Round 1.

But so are we....

Back to the good ol' days, on paper, I'll back Tiges. If i's a victory for us I'll be dirty on the fact that we didn't beat B/Dogs and Saints because I think 6 points come last Rnd will have us just o/s the top 8 again.

i am one of kingys biggest fans - bt i agree that he shouldn't just walk back into this side - the team has performed better without him, and since his form leading into his injury was below par - he shouldn't have that luxury

realistically - kingy seems to be following the same road as raines - started off being a tough, running back flanker with reliable skills - steadily declining into a player who has became intimidated by his own reputation

wiggins isnt much - but russell has became quite a good player this season

For years we have been screaming for tough nuggerty little back pocket player that bust his balls every time he puts on the jumper,we find one in Kingy and all the do gooders are having a go at him???...he never shirks a contest, tackles like a pitbull terrier and generally gives a ____ about the team when he goes out to play!... Yes he sometimes does try too hard in certain contests and gives away a free, though at least he try's... more than i can say about some?
If he's fit i say play him, cause RD1 he gave Carlton grief.
Long live KING.

I'm a kingy fan, but as Wallace mentioned Tuesday, could be a risk bringing all the boys back from injury in the same game with the weeks break just around the corner. Hyde's position would definetly be the one in question, but he was given a chance last week when I thought he shouldn't have, but to his credit had a good game. Atleast Hyde does give 100%, its just that his pace and awareness aren't up to AFL standard

King will be better for the rest this weekend i guess and yest his form has not been the best, i just like it how the kid takes the game on, he stops us from just palying Kick to Kick in the backline as we do sometimes and has a go at breaking the game open.

But yes i guess he is not a walk up selection/star player

I hope if he does get put to VFL he rips it up and is back in :)

grigg ohalpin are both hacks
Jamison is developing but about two yrs behind thirsty
Carrots Russel are both hacks and turnover merchants
Thornton will play on Riewalt and riewalt has a heap more talent

Simpson Stevens Scotland is the most outside centreline in the comp
Fisher has done nothing for a month
Waite and murphy are good players
Betts and Wiggins wouldnt get a game for melbourne
and cloke bentick browne and edwards are either hacks or 3 years away from being afl ready

There is no way we will lose this game
The tankers are devoid of talent

whatever haqppened to the dip stick who was hailing o'helpless as the next big thing...what was his name again? parrot? yeah...parrot, the visionary...;)

I have openly had my doubts of Jake King for quite a long time. For example we just saw a poster calling Carrats and Russel turnover merchants well for mine that is exactly what King is but the difference is those players can win one on one contests air or ground whilst King is reduced to Ground only. No one is doubting his apetite for the game and his approach but sorry he just doesnt have it in him to be a long time servant of the AFL in my opinion. He has pace and guts but he lacks quality in marking, kicking, handballing and football nouse. I'd be very suprised if Jake King is on our list for 2010.

Dont quite agree with that, Kingy wins alot of contested pill and I dare say has better evasive ability than rainesy. Has a genuine place in the team unfortuantely 3 changes to a winning combination may unsettle the team a little

Watch a Carlton game once in a while and you will realise you have a few of those things way off.
- Not last week but the week before, Fisher played very well, and in the first 3 quarters vs port adelaide, was probably their only foward target who consistently took mark after mark. Not really "done nothing for a month" standard.
- Betts wouldn't get a game for Melbourne ay? Possibly the inform small foward of the competition. Great pressure applied from him, and his goal return is superb.
- Bentick/Cloke hacks? Bentick didn't play well last week, but has very incredibly servicable getting the hard balls. And when he went to Carlton, i thought Cloke was a joke, but having watched him this year especially, he is a very solid ruckman. Gives you a contest around the taps, pushes back and can take the big mark, does what you need your ruckman to do.
Having said this, i tipped Richmond, and if Judd is out you should do it comfortably, but you are underestimating many Carlton players there.
