Based on the polling, the Crows starting line-up would be something like as follows:

B: Hart, Bassett, Torney
HB: Smart, McGregor, Massie
C: Goodwin, Ricciuto, Burton
HF: Ladhams, Carey, Welsh
F: Perrie, M Stevens, Johncock
R: Clarke/Biglands, Stenglein, McLeod

However, as Edwards votes were split 3 ways & he voted collectively more than others, he deserves to be named in the backline (where he got %wise most votes). ie.

B: Hart, Bassett, Edwards
HB: Smart, McGregor, Massie/Torney
C: Goodwin, Ricciuto, Burton
HF: Ladhams, Carey, Welsh
F: Perrie, M Stevens, Johncock
R: Clarke/Biglands, Stenglein, McLeod

I: Massie/Torney, Clarke/Biglands, Bode/Reilly, Schuback/Burns

Not a bad looking side at all.

Is there meant to be 24 players or are the last 2 pairs a choice of either/or??

I am at a dead loss why people (some from this board) think we should slide down to between 6th and 10th next year.

The last 2 pairs were a choice of either based on dead heat of voting, though Bode would probably get the nod due to getting votes as a forward too.

I can only see us slipping if we have a horror injury run.

Interesting to see Schuback made Crows Bigfooty best team after only playing one/two (?) games last year.

I'm glad to see it and I would play him instead of Ronnie all year if up to me. In my opinion Burns should not be played unless he hits a very rich vein of form in the SANFL.

When on song Ronnie contributes in a big way, but when he is even slightly off the boil he is woeful and a liability. And of course he is not the future.

Find it a little strange that Rob Shirley couldn't even make our best 24.

Good point. On last few games form he would certainly be in my best 22.

I think a few of the votes are based on who people would like to see do really well.

Rob Shirely was excellent for us but its in the clubs long term interests if players such as Reilly Schuback and Hentschell can get ahead of him to get spots in the team.

He should play in Round 1 though given last years form.

Personally had him in my side, but I'm obviously in the minority. Played real consistent footy in 2003, so hoping he can take up some of slack in toughness in the middle after the retirment of Bicks. Probably needs to improve even further to ensure a spot in the side given some of the younger midfielders coming through making tough competition for places in the 22.

What about him DT?

Will need to make huge steps to force himself into the starting line-up IMO. Crunch year for him considering you don't normally get 3rd chances...
