Would imagine all of Ryan Houlihan, Sam Jacobs, Brock McLean and Andrew Walker will be named on the bench. However if Brock, Walks and Hoops all play is a different story. Hopefully they do!

We could be exposed if they play Kennedy, Lynch and Brown in the forwardline together considdering our lack of tall defenders.

Squad for now.

Anyone able to shed some light on what to expect from Marcus? (If he gets to go on the field)

Good to see 1AW back so soon, though I suspect he won't take part in the match.

Hoops and McLean will probably be getting the extra time to prove their fitness, if they pass they'll come in. If McLean does get up then probably Hadley included.

Bench of Walker, Sauce, McLean and Houlihan if everything goes to plan.

Davies in if Walker isn't right, Hadley if Brock isn't. Grigg to be a bit underdone for my liking. Can't see all 3 'injury cloud' guys missing though.

MARCUS DAVIES.

HELL. YES.

Sorry. That was 100% necessary.

This will probably be the bench:
Ryan Houlihan, Sam Jacobs, Brock McLean, Andrew Walker

Strange and good to see Walker back so soon, Hope Mclean is fit and is the good Mclean, Sauce is serviceable and Houlihan will have to pass a test, might not make it and that'll mean Grigg will replace him. Hadley is probably on stand by if Mclean doesn't come up.

My oh my though, that team is so far from our best 22. Bower, Armfield, Yarran and Waite are decent absentees, that's a decent dint to our pace stocks.

I'd completely forgotten that Brett Jones was still a WC player.

Good luck to Anderson, Browne and Davies.

I reckon Davies might play his first game if we named him as a potential interchange player.

Give Walker another week. :)

Russell to LeCras.

I was hoping that Lynch would be dropped.

Bugger.

Surprised with Browns inclusion -possibly as the player to replace Johnson
Don't think he has actually played a game in a few weeks, last week there was no VFL and the week prior I believe he travelled to SA as the emergency for the Port game

Having said that good luck to him, I am a fan of his. He just needs to improve his disposal efficiency. Hopefully he can string a few games together, get some confidence and become a regular (ala JR).:thumbsu:

Bugger.

No need to worry TG, the only thing Lynch will drop, is simple marks.

Lynch will out fail Setanta. Godzilla vs Charles Barkley has nothing on this dual of fail.

Carlton by 8 goals +.

Any half decent and huge tall could exploit Thornton and our backline at the moment.

Jamison should go to Kennedy.

Mitch Brown could loom large as a third tall forward if he's selected.

If Naitanui pushes forward, he could create some havoc like he did against Hawthorn last year.

Hopefully Butler and Walker get through the game in one piece.

A lot of the 03 draft have had their share of the injury concerns. :( :thumbsu:

Considering Hoops is named on the bench, I'm guessing his inclusion is dependent on a fitness test? I wouldn't risk it. Give him another week to get 100%.
I would hazard a guess the ins will be Browne, Walker, McLean and Davies, with Hadley in if McLean doesn't get up.

Grigg hasn't played in about 3 weeks (?), so he is unlikely, but perhaps he's named as an a emergency as the MC know he can stand up if required.
