I'm 'appy Jack is an emergency. I wonder if they've named Leon but won't play him... Interesting they've talked up Fraser then completely omitted him!

Why is Wakelin getting games? He's been poor all season imo, and it's stunting the development of a player like John Anthony, who deserves a go but Malthouse keep refusing to give him a shot.

Thanks JAJH.

Your son is very stiff to miss out on a game this week as he is knocking the door down. Who knows, he may be a late inclusion?

I suspect he will be. Leon might be a late withdrawal. I'd love to see JA get a chance to play.

Hello Pie fans

Are you guys confident of winning Saturday night?????

I just thought that at the odds of $2.60 seem rather high considering you have rolled the Swans previously.

I dont agree that Wakelin has been poor but i do agree that he is keeping Jack out. I think MM likes to keep one old head in the back line.

Why is Wakelin getting games?...

Match-ups. Wakes plays well on Bustling Barry. Goldy on Michael O' Loughlin. Harry on Ryan O Keefe. Maxwell on Playfair. Probably Marty Clarke on Amon Buchanon.

Considering this is such an important match, you'd want to make sure your defence is pretty shored-up before working out the forward structure. And given that Fraser is out, they've left the door open for one more tall in the side (AKA John Anthony!). You know that MM likes to spring surprises on match day :)

Very eager to confirm the team for us JAJH.

I'm tipping a certain son might be a certain late replacement for a certain team on a certain Saturday night.

Agree, his form is fine and from memory he has the wood all over Barry Hall.

I guess the query I have over the Pies is that are they able to cover Rocca?

Would have been so good for you guys to have him over there.

What is your winning rate without him?

I do recall you guys winning games without him in the past.

Oh happy days!:p:D

In the paper it said Davis had discomfort in the training session with his ankle, he shouldnt be playing unless he is 100% right as they played him the last couple of games where he was clearly injured and could hardly run.

Would of preferred Davis be given another weeks rest as clearly his ankle isn't yet 100% right and Anthony be given a run as he has been consistantly good in the 2's.

Essendon, West Coast, Melbourne this year...

Could have changed the game against the dogs, but given we lost both him + Reid our forward line was a mess.

Of course we can win without him but it puts more pressure on our lineup to find big targets inside 50.

As much as we need him it is fair to say we haven't really had him since round 3 when you look back through the stats. So we've covered well considering. Wakes in helps as it sends Browny forward so where no worse off IMO in terms of having a big body up forward. Secretly though i wish he (rocca) was playing.:(

Team balance looks crap IMO
Way to many defenders. Sack, Wakes, Harry, Max, Shaw, Brown basically means one will always play forward. Play a forward FFS. Cox, Macaffer, Dawes all shown this year they can kick goals give one of them a chance.
