Pfeiffer, Redden and Jacobs are all good ins, although the lack of Surjan and Hartlett is disappointing. I'm one of the few who likes Hitchy, but his performances in the SANFL haven't exactly demanded selection so he probably shouldn't be picked this week.

On the other hand, Matt Thomas has failed to get more than 15 possessions for three weeks in a row and is again not being held accountable for his performances. Very disappointing that one of Pfeiffer, Redden, Jacobs, Wingard or Young is going to miss out while Thomas continually gets selected. Given that, I guess I'd drop Young from that quintet.

We need to see what Hitchy can do when his career is on the line. Aside from his first pre-season and his first two games at AFL level, I can't ever remembering him impressing. Would prefer him to have a couple of games in the AFL just to see whether he has anything to offer. Sadly, I don't think he does, but give him a go with his back to the wall and at least see if he can fight his way out.

I really don't think he's career is on the line this year, next year it will be.

For real? Now would be the worst time to rest him. His last quarter against Melbourne was the best he's played for us, let him build on that not rest him.

I would like Young to get one more game. he finished that game off really well, and this may be enough to give him legs for a full game, if not he may need a spell.

The same premise I would love Jacobs put back in, again whilst confidence is high.

Young was just starting to look a little more comfortable at this level last week. I'd rather not see him dropped. Bring Redden in for Westhoff. With Paul Stewart's form up forward Westhoff is looking a little bit redundant for mine. The two rucks can rest as a tall forward.

The port website quotes Primus as saying Pfeiffer will likely be the only change. Still think its odd that we're sending Lobbe, a guy who had an interrupted pre-season and is still working back to form, in to ruck by himself again. Also says Pfeiffer was dropped due to form, which is odd considering he was one of our better players (named in the best even?) v Essendon.
