Does anyone know what the team is going into the Melbourne match? Interesting because Terry stated that we will probably play only 22 players and it will be our best possible side. I bring this up because this team would therefore give a pretty good idea on who is going to play round 1 (minus Richo and Simmo). The team i think will be chosen will be:

B P Bowden D Gasper A Raines

HB C Newman G Polak J Bowden

C B Deliedio K Johnson C Howat

HF K Pettifer A Pattison D Polo

F A Krackouer J Schulz N Brown

R T Knobel S Tuck N Foley

Int R Tambling G Tivendale C Hyde W Thurstfield

Emg. B Hartigan K Moore M White

I reckon this is a fair assesment. On paper at least our backline looks pretty good with 3 talls Thursty, Polak, Gasper plus the Bowdens and Newman and Rainesy to rebound. Our foward line looks like the weak link. Due to no Kingsley and Richo it leaves Pattison and Schultz to be KKP. However on the bright side with the return of Brown we have a very healthy stock of quality small fowards.

Whats your thoughts on this team?

I like it a lot. Put Richo and maybe Kingsley in the forward line and Simmonds in the ruck and it's a genuinely decent team, not world beaters but not bad at all. Does highlight our lack of depth though.

does pattison at chf mean we are going to have the joy of seeing tuck in the ruck again

backline is half decent, midfield is solid but the forward line is awful demons backline will eat them up

id like to see mcguane play the kid is too good to be treated like a stop gap at coburg i say give him a position and play him the first 4-5 rounds

It says on the web-site that Coburg will be playing against the Richmond 'left-overs' (plus a few ring-ins) before the main match. Be a good chance to see some of the new draftees etc.
Get there early as parking is a bugger to find, unless you want to pay those Blue scumbags to park in the ground.

source??? not doubting just cant bloody find it on the RFC or AFL website anywhere

anyone have any idea why richard isnt playing?
He missed a training session.

BTW a couple of players that might be playing in the Seniors are Andrew Collins and Tas Clingan as well because of good NAB Challenge form.

We'll probably lose, Melbourne's side is very good.

Jeff White should dominate the ruck with Jamar. Knobel has no hope, hopefully Patto steps up and shows Knobel he has no future at RFC.

White has been out of sorts so far this year so hopefully Trent can play him into some form before the season proper starts. :thumbsu:

We should win I agree, our team is almost full-strength so it would be worrying if we didnt.

i thought we were close to full strength, but thinking about it, missing richo and simmonds are massive losses.

hopefully shulz steps up, thanks for the scores sgt pepper.
