I am very disappointed that Garlett has been omitted. The kid did nothing wrong against the Saints, and deserved to get another run. Overall I am happy with the team other than Garlett getting dropped.

Don't like it.

Thornton is an important in but dropping Garlett is a big mistake.

The last few times we have been killed by Essendon when they start running and using their pace which is one of their only genuine weapons.

So we drop one of our fastest players who can match them for pace.

Doesn't make much sense to me at all.

McPhee is a big loss for the Bombers.

I am a little confused as to why we have dropped our fastest player against the fastest team....

In saying this I am glad that Austin has remained.

I agree with you J, big mistake dropping Garlett. He add a lot of pace around the forward half, and he can be used in burst on the wings as well. Pissed off at his omission.

What the muffin? So Betts is going to be the only forward applying pressure?

Fev won't, Stevens can't and Houlihan shouldn't so that leaves Eddie and possibly Setanta to keep the ball in our 50.

Bit peeved at this...

Garlett is still very raw and goes missing for long stages of the game. Really can't afford to have that in such a huge game. Well done MC. Looks like your finally starting to get things right.

Was just about to post what's bolded. That would be the only reason he's been dropped

Garlett really doesn't apply that much pressure, and he goes missing for fair chunks of the game. It's the 2nd half of the season now, so it's time to knuckle down and get serious. We'll continue to blow games that we should be winning if we carry players every week.

Who else do you drop? Thornton's an automatic inclusion and someone had to make way. Like most, I love what Garlett brings to the team but he was quiet against the Saints.

In years passed we were forced to play players who didn't deserve a spot. Now it's the opposite and I'm not complaining. Bannister is the obvious one but he did nothing wrong against the Saints and showed good form last year before injury.

I really don't rate any player on Essendon's list, we should win this game by 10 goals!!!

Well last time we played the dons, Garlett was found out, and dropped the next week for a bad performance. Eventhough i want him in the team, he still isnt in our best 22.

Mcphee out the way of fevs lead is great, but they gain so much dash with NLM. Davey, Lovett and NLM always play very well against us. Shut them down and we get the four points.

McPhee and McVeigh both didn't play against us last time

I break into laughter every time

Me too!:thumbsu:

Ah well, I suppose they had to drop someone from last round's gallant performance, and the MC deemed Garlett expendable, and I suppose I have to agree reluctantly, i don't think Garlett has performed that great lately in all honestly.

And hey, at least Jordan Russell hasn't been named again, surely that is grounds for good news :D

Very suprised and dissapointed Fisher isn't getting a game. We need some goal kicking power. Fevola and Betts are not enough, we need consistent goal kicking from a few others, this is where Fisher could be a huge help.
Although if Fletcher lines up on Betts- watch out! Betts will run those pants right off Dustin.
-And if Pears goes onto Fev, Fev will have a day out. Pears sucked it massive last week and to play on the best goal kicking forward in the competition would be the biggest mistake ever.
