My teeth are in pretty good shape.

I do have some crowding in my lower molars, likely because my wisdom teeth weren’t removed until my late 30s, but it’s not caused damage to the enamel. I have to floss with care in those areas. My gums are very healthy with little receding.

I’m currently trying an organic toothpaste from Chemist Warehouse

James Harmes is very interested in this thread.

Did you know that in the old days Barbers used to also offer dental services as well as leeching and bloodletting?

That's why the barbers pole has the three colours. White for teeth, Red for surgery, and blue for cutting hair.

Yeah mine seem to be holding up well despite everything, still a bit of a mess tho.

Had a tooth infection a few years ago, and goddamn. Easily the most pain I've ever been in.

I never grew wisdom teeth. I'm evolved, I guess
One of my wisdom teeth decided to come in at a 90 degree angle. It stopped after a bit so now it's just pressed up against one of my molars. The dentist basically said it's not necessary to take out unless I want to do it. It's not something I'm particularly excited about doing so I've left it for now. It doesn't hurt or anything but it's a pain in the arse if any food gets caught in the gap.

Yeah, they're funny things. Just keep an eye on it I suppose in case it starts to impact your molars more, but you'd certainly feel if it does haha.

Can imagine the gap is annoying

I’m at the dentist again right now.

Expect more interesting teeth information to emerge shortly
I always make my dentist appointments at 2:30.

All good today?
Yes. And cleaner. I think they just enjoy taking x-rays so they can get money.

The enamel on my upper teeth - the front ones, is slightly eroded (apparently) so I should only use regular toothpaste not whitening toothpaste or charcoal toothpaste or baking soda paste or something.

Teeth x-rays are really strange. The roots of teeth seem ridiculously long. Think how weird we would look without gums.

Also, if enamel wears down, why don’t teeth evolve to be coated with something else like cement?

I’m also at the dentist again - just watched Seinfeld with teletext through random dental instruments
Was it the episode where Kramer went to the dentist and was loaded with Novocane?
