well, I was at training today & Tex looks well. He is doing full training & when he was signing my footy, I asked him how his recovery was going. He stated that he will definitely be back in 2 weeks. Yep.... he even stated not this weekend but the weekend after.
Although it may be for the Ants, to get him some match practice.... but he will be back for the Blues before the end of the year.

Sorry if this has been posted (as I have been absent from the forums for a couple of weeks & couldn't be bothered doing a search..... but this is the latest news as from today! :thumbsu:

Welcome Back AW.... the blues sure could use you atm

Excellent news - hope he plays the season out with some good form.

Will be good for Trade bait come trade week

Awesome news, I can't wait for him to come back in.
His fitness shouldn't be an issue, he just needs to regain some touch and confidence in his shoulder in the two's. As soon as that is done I reckon he is going to absolutely tear it up in the last third of the season

I mentioned this in another thread, but I'm pretty sure Tex was amongst the group that was watching Freo at the G on the weekend.........any chance he could be a huge selection upset and come in this week?

Probably not, but we could do with his pace around the stoppages.

Excellent news - hope he plays the season out with some good form.

Is an injury prone and over rated player
Why do people continue to think this way.

If as you say he is overrated and injury prone, why would anyone else want him.

If he isn't what you say, then why would we want to trade him.

Either way, I can't see him going anywhere.

The same sentiment saw us getting a second round pick from Sydney for Adam Bentick last year.

Sounds like a real pick-up.

Nice work tiger! :D:thumbsu:

Now that his shoulder is actually likely to stay in it's bloody joint we're likely to see by next year AW1 add that pace and passion that our structure is screaming out for.

Was really looking forward to a fit walker this season :o

Good news is that Clokes shoulder appears to be fine, makes you wonder why AW didn't have this op in the first place.

Why would we trade him?
He is someone that we have really missed this year, for his speed and his versatility. Not a chance he will be going anywhere.

I think Tex is a gun. The obvious problem is his much wriiten of shoulders. He's had one tightened to the extent that it permanently limits his flexibility and the other we just hope holds up to the rigours of top level footy.

The big question is what this surgery has done to him and how it affects the way he plays. Carey, who had the same procedure, could effectively not take an overhead mark.

The fact that he is noted as being one of the fittest blokes at the club and hardest trainers speaks volumes about his commitment. Something that is sadly lacking at the moment.

If up and running is clearly in our top 10 players. I wish him all the best.

We really need him.

TheGeneral you have the worst signature of anyone on bigfooty.

What does it say about our team, if we are getting belted by 69 points by guys like Geelong VFL listed players, whose fast play on style comes off 5% of the time, and whose finals aspirations will be found out accordingly?

The worst ever.

PS GO TEX WE LOVE YOU.

We need walker in that defence again. He was very good at running the ball out. Injuries havent been kind to him, but he isnt a key position player so if he has some limitation in overhead marking from tha operation, then it may not impact him as much as it did to a player like Carey.

I could think of many players currently who could make way for him in this team.

Trolls: Please stay in Bay 13 where you belong... us serious folk are Toasting to some great news :thumbsu:

I can hardly wait to see him in again, when he's ready. I'm not expecting a whole lot obviously, he'll still need a fair bit of time to be 100% I guess, but just to have him in to get him going and set him up for a hopefully explosive 2010 would be fantastic :)
