Stevo for Club Champion in 2002!
Thanks to the Adelaide Crows for giving me a win in my Birthday week. I had a good time cheering the boys on last night!
What was so terrific about us at the moment is we are improving each week. There are a couple of things really impressing me at the moment.
We didn't get any goals from Stevo
, Fitzy or Daniel last night, yet we still kicked 18.10. It is great to see that we are not relying on any players to do the bulk of the scoring. We are sharing the work load around and it puts pressure on the opposition because they don't know who is going to pop up next with a goal.
Our midfielders are fantastic at the moment. Roo and Macca are on fire and although Goody had a quiet night by his standards, we still managed to win it out of the centre.
Some of our new players are finding there feet. Matty Bode is terrific coming off the bench, I would like to see him get a full game at some stage. Kris Massie is very impressive. He goes hard at the ball and is a terrific competitor. He will get great for our club. Michael Doughty has stepped up to the level this year and is going great guns. And young Stiffy, well this boy is fantastic. Hopefully he might get a Rising Star nominee soon.
I watch the boys and like what I see. But I can't help feeling that just around the corner we are going to have a really big one! I can't wait until we have a game where everybody is having a good game and we can see just how good we can be if everybody if firing at once. Next week v Kangas??? Yes Please!!!!
