Geez, Kennedy fires for Weagles, Rusell fires for Carlton, all the stars are aligning..!

You'd like to think the Weagles are on the up again, since they were the worst TANKERS in modern history, made us look kinda amateurish, I mean going from two grand finals in a row to two years of priority picks, makes you wonder who and what was keeping that bunch of 'Premiership Quality' players afloat out there...?

Geez come on mate, at least try and sound smart

Cheers to the weagles supporters coming in here and finally acknowledging that they got as good as they gave in the deal for Judd.

A class CHF always takes a lot longer to come on and he was starting to show what he was capable of in his last season with the blues and especially with the last 6 weeks of the season under Ratts.

Have always liked him and would have mistakenly given up Bower instead of him... but am happy with the deal that was done now.

I always watch WCE games to see how Kennedy goes. I'm glad he's developed into the player we thought he would be and also that WCE got a good deal out of the Judd trade.

If one of our star players went back to their home state, I hope we would be compensated in a similar fashion.

Ummmm......let me get back to you. We might have a forward to trade you later in the year.
LoL!!!!! Ash Hansen? You're a funny man aren't you?! He wouldn't get a game at Richmond.

Was actually thinking McKinley.

This wasn't meant to be a Bay 13 thread but if you look at the world through Bay 13 glasses, then that's all you're going to see. Was meant as appreciation, oh well.

Hey McKinley now your talking !!!

Would a 2nd draft pick, and perhaps a fringe player, be a suitable trade for him ??? :)

McKinley won't chase though...he is too similar to Fev in style...not so much ability but they both lead up.

McKinley seems pretty lazy, we already struggle with defensive pressure in our forward line as it is.

Funny seeing the WC posters - they all called him a dud around the time of the trade.

If you do you research you realise Riewoldt, Franklin, etc didn't start influencing games until their 4th year. It was hard for JK as it was with the ball being kicked to Fev all the time, a coach who played him in the ruck and all the injuries he had. So he was even further behind.

Might not be an elite talent but you know you will get 100% effort from the first bounce to the final siren no matter the score.

I'm a bit guilty of this as well... I watched yesterday's game and I must say that this trade is looking more and more even these days. Best of luck for Josh!

bay 13 is full of Eagles threads
Josh is making a great target for the Eagles and will do better and better as they win more ball up the ground and learn to deliver it to him.
But if he has to rely on Priddis to hit him on the chest for the next 10 years he will never realise his potential

Schwarz thinks Kennedy will be the next Riewoldt. :o

JK lacks Riewoldt's endurance, mobility and leg speed.
Lets call it as it is. The Blues absolutely killed the Weagles on that trade. We effectively got Kruezer and Judd, and you got JK and Masten. i.e. we got 2 outright stars, and you got 2 above average footballers. :)
Piss off unlisted.

There wouldn't be a Carlton supporter on here who didn't wish Josh all the best for the future ...not too sure there would be many Eagles supporters wishing Juddy all the best .

Very True and i am rapt for Josh he is going to a very good player.

West Coast supporters are a bitter bunch and Judd at Carlton will never be better than the WCE Judd no matter what he does etc etc :rolleyes:

When i first read the thread i thought it was nothing more than a subtle troll (which i still think it is! ) but the benefit of the doubt has been given. I would love to see how long a Thread that reads "Thanks for Juddy" started by a Carlton supporter lasts on the WCE board.....

I think we can both agree that we got a good deal out of the trade

You guys get a Brownlow Medliast, Multiple All australian, Premiership captain at his peak
and we get
A future star CHF in Kennedy, and a future star Inside midfielder in Masten, and if Notte can put some kilo's on he can definantly be a solid FF

The FACTS:

- Judd comes to Carlton , and Carlton make a massive jump up the ladder

- Judd leave WC, and WC slide down the ladder

I love the Judd

Blues are not nasty pasties like Eagles and wish all past players the best
mate if the best player to ever play for carlton threatened to go into the the PSD for nothing unless he was traded for below his value to a club of his choice he would rightly be seen by carlton fans for what he is.

kennedy was a young and promising fringe forward who told carlton he loved being there and wanted to stay. there is alot of respect for kennedy from blues fans because of the way he carried himself during that period.

WC fans (Not sure who you go for) still insist Cuz was better. We still giggle that Campo played for Ess recently.

The Unlisted Option really has me baffled as to why people choose to use it.

FFS you either barrack for a team or you dont it isnt Rocket Science. If it is the later your opinion means SFA then.

WC got Kennedy and Mastern with the 3 pick who'll carry their club for 5+ years. Good luck to them.

I got my club back though, through Judd coming back and putting some professionalism and optimism pack into the place.

Laughable that Steven's was being tossed around as a potential capt ahead of Judd.

Judd meant more to the fabric of our club - We he signed we were back!

He hedges his bets depending on which WA team is doing better
Has been bleak for the lad of late I guess

LOL - so he said, "I will only go if you trade me below my value"

ps Ever think that apart from wanting to come home (surely everybody's right to decide where they want to work/live) he might not have thought that highly of your rabble of a club in the end :p

im certainly not arguing his right to come home to victoria, or the manner of his service while in perth, as i said i think he was the best player to ever play for west coast, i certainly never begrudged him a chance to play back home in melbourne

and your right, he obviously though far more highly of the money on offer from carlton than he did the club he captained to a premiership, and where so many of his mates were
