That draft

You know, that draft that my fellow Hawks are constantly going on about.

What I actually found interesting on the weekend was that those first 4 picks pretty much performed in the order they were drafted - Deledio had 30-odd and looked slick, Roughie was our most reliable forward, Tambling looked really quick and skilful and did some good stuff. Buddy was just frustrating.

btw good game from the Tiges, we were lucky to get out of that one, and it confirmed what I already suspected about Richo being one of the best players of the last decade who will never be fully appreciated because he's never had success.

Thanks mate, I thought about that too. Roughead may be overshadowed by Buddy but he can win a game as well.

Where would griffen have rated last weekend?

all 4 players are going to be champions. the order is irrelevent. its about what the clubs needed. the hawks wanted kpp we wanted onballers plain and simple. comparisons are just fos.

but my question is, why did the doggies pick up griffen when they were and still are in desparate need for a kpp esp up fwd

Why do we always have to find a team to bag for their recruiting. Everyone is an expert using hindsight. I think the doggies thought they had the key positions covered with young players coming through but with injuries, Rawlings, and some players just not coming on it just didn't work out for them. Griffen is a gun! i think they would be kicking themselves more that they took rawlings and not stevens. And i think we should be kicking ourselves more over the fiora over pav... at least we have tambling who will be a quality 200 game player. I firmly believe he will only get better especially if Couglan and Cothcin can come in and share the load.
