I hated it, was probably the reason why I felt no emotion while watching them play today.

I dont want to see that shit on our players ever again, and its probably the reason why we stopped using it all those years ago ....

Because it sucks

Have to agree.
The supporters were strangely quiet today.

I felt like I was barracking for Hawthorn.

The sash would've made a big difference.

Hawthorn can keep that jumper for life yuk.

There's a good reason why most traditional jumpers have been replaced over the decades. Ours sucks too. I hope I never see that wimpy Blue & Yellow jumper again, and I bet you feel the same about this one. "What the hell are we playing Hawthorn for?" I thought for a second.

The problem is some marketing type's eyes light up on anniversary games like this and decides they'll blackmail supporters with the "tradition" word - oblivious to how much of an anathema it is to supporters. Think of the added hype, think of the merchandising, think of my bonus. Perhaps the board instructed marketing to "come up with something special for the occasion". Voila.

I bet they didn't test this decision with some Tiger fans - because they knew they wouldn't have liked the answer they got back.
