Got home at 3am this morning, somewhat legless and as I buggered about organising the usual 4 glasses of water before hitting the fartsack, I noticed a package on the kitchen bench. Opened one end and saw what it was, obviously my membership stuff. Pulled the cap out, (yeah Im only a silver), and just stood there like a complete ******** grinning at the centenary logo and reminiscing through my red wine haze. In my early morning delirium this morning I repeated the process and ended up grinning all over again with the cook asking WTF are you grinning at? I didn't answer, she wouldnt understand anyhow being a bloody hawker.

Just love those times when you feel proud to be a Tiger.

i'm not at that stage yet...i'll need to see us win more than a few games before I get that warm fuzzy feeling inside..BUT I am excited at the prospect of that warm fuzzy feeling returning:cool:

btw this year's logo is a ripper isn't it TT, the bumper sticker is already proudly adorning the rear end of my car

The historical logo is the reason why I wanted another cap this year (I'm a gold member) instead of a scarf, yet a few here just wanted to have a crack at me being a spoilt prat and I should just be happy to get anything.

I take great pride in the fact that we have a ripper logo and we are 100 years old. I want to know if the sales shop are going to release a historical cap to buy because i would be interested.

No, we had a crack because your beef was that a scarf was useless in Perth, and they'd be better off saving club money and sending you nothing.

I've got the scarf (and you've got to admit Punt Rd, it's a pretty good one - you can still hang it out the car window), but both my kids got the cap. Unfortuneatly one of them may "lose" theirs before the season's over.

Oh, and the caps are not the best design we've had, and the logo is on the scarf anyway, so not a bad result all round.

That's a true Tiger. Those extra intangibles that no other club can touch.

GO TIGES!!!

i truelly believe that the pride that we feel for our club is something that no other supporters in the league are privilidged to experince.

I have banged on about this in the past , but i`m gonna hop on my soapbox again .

Give me any other club in the league with a record like ours over the last 27 years and they would not be in existence today .. i don`t believe that to be opinion .. i believe it to be fact .

Our clubs culture and our passion for it is what has kept us alive ... the older supporters who are in our late 30`s and 40`s who grew up in the 70`s ... who truelly knew how ruthless and obstinate our club was , the success that came from it . Nothing better illustrates the strong pulse that still beats like this than True Thylacines example ....

We don`t give a flying f..k when these little p1ssant Hawthorn and Carlton supporters get on here with thier purile drivel ... give it your best shot w@nkers .. We just smile ... Because when our club finally gets to a period of long , sustained on - field success , the amount of ammunition we are going to have will be akin to Americas nuclear arsenal of the 50`s - 60`s ... Not that i really give a shit about anyone else but our own club .

Our strength comes from our loyalty .... like that little blue heeler that lives outside on the porch that gets kicked by it`s owner every day .... We still sit there at the back door wagging our tails , waiting for the day our owner gives us a pat. We don`t care ... we have had it so bad for so long ... the day we deliver will be so sweet ... no other club or supporter could even begin to understand .

Our premiership year will average 60,000 per game. It'll be an exciting time

I had to bump this.
In my week-long exile I read many posts but this one evaded me for some reason.
It sums up my feelings perfectly.
Honestly, when we rise again, the whole comp will wish we hadn't.
Kind of like the Bill Gates story. Kicked around and spat on at school only to have the last laugh.
It's gonna be some party people. I just hope I'm around to see it.
