I thought i would start a discussion thread for the Brownlow Medal coming up next week for us Blues supporters to discuss. Personally i think Goodes will win it and our very own Marc Murphy is my roughie!! I got 80-1 Odds a few weeks ago ( Is now 60-1 ) and i had to have a lazy $10 on him as i can see him polling in 80% of our wins and the amount of goals he kicked this year will put him in the Umpires eyes IMO. Juddy and Murph will lead our voting comfortably i would think and anything can happen on the big night!

Feel free to discuss any tips or roughies you may have and how you think we will go polling as a team or any bets you may have running.

rd19 - 3 (I was at this game, he was very good and kicked 5, including a great goal on the final siren, which IMO will stick in the umps mind when they go to do the votes)

16 votes. Certainly seems high anyway.

I dont see Fev getting that many votes LD from the umpires but he does deserve that many and has had a good year. IMO i think Fev will poll in between 8-13 Votes with Judd and Murphy getting the most for us.

I also think that Goodes is a very good chance to take it out this year, interesting to hear that he came 5th in the Sydney B&F though.
However i think Gary Jr is due he has had a good year and despite missing a few games i reckon he will finally get what he has been waiting for.

Am with you brother, reckon Murphy will outpoll (Win!!), number 5,
and has kicked a number of goals which, not important for the stat heads,
may sway the umps.

I think Gibbs is definetely worth the punt at $16 for top 5.

I have him with a similar potential to both Judd and Murphy, and no less than any of the other favourites outside Ablett and Swan.

He has certainly figured in the best players enough in our winning games to attract 20 votes. It will just be a question of whether the umpires lean towrds Judd or Murphy.

Gibbs has the highest efficiency rate of the 3. Judd has the highest inside 50 and clearance rates and murphy has the goals.

Gibbs has the best placed odds. I have a multi with Gibbs top 5, Saints premiership and Bullants premiership paying $33K and a $50 bet. I have got the bullants at 12/1 across a number of multi's in the last home and away round

Great bet. He is capable in polling in more games than any other players. No many locks however, so anything could happen. Good luck. Try and have a punt on Cooney at $5 to win the doggies. Could be a good save.

That Multi is looking very good now RB as the Bullants have been excellent today and i expect them to be in the Grand Final next Friday night.

I saw the list and i do recall seeing Fevolas name.

Another player i noticed was Jonathon Brown, and what i seem to notice is when Fevola and Brown are in the same room/building and there's alcohol, Something funny always happens.

Fev might do the brownlow thingo for Footy Show if Crawford doesn't

Have plonked some money on Murphy to be Carlton's top brownlow scorer.

Couldnt believe he was $9 to Judds $1.30 to be Carlton's top vote getter.

No doubt Judd is our best player, just that Murphy was also very effective with no tag in a lot of games, scored a heap of goals, was very consistent, and is a very fair player!

For the actual winner i have Ablett and Reiwoldt in the quinella!!!
