He also said he wouldn't coach melbourne and we all know how that panned out...he's not going to admit it either way imo. Rumours at start of season had Gubby coming back in as list manager and Roos as director of coaching...so you may well prove correct.

I actually think that some on this blog site will get a great deal of personal pleasure when the melts kick in if and when Buckley is extended. Almost a form of personal and perverse justification - "I told you he would be extended".

As to the opposite that will happen if he goes. Have tried to avoid this thread lately cause there is people that just throw stuff back at u. It's unpleasant some times with no real way to communicate.
What ever happens either way, l hope people keep it respectful

Bucks has previously said both he and the club need to make a decision to renew. Sounds like he might be thinking to throw in the towel?

The presentation probably consisted of Eddie lobbying the board rather than facing the facts of the total failure we have become.

Emails sent to the club with a query, should be responded to within the 2 to 3 days it states on the automated email received reply message.
I never received a response to my email that was sent close to 5 weeks ago!!

This whole "review" and "wait to end of year" stuff is to make it look like they were so close to sacking him and that they "left no stone unturned".
If they resigned him weeks ago it would have been an Eddie bashing fest. At least a lot of stupid people will fall for it now.

Then people will get on here and say we got within 1 point of a top 8 side and that proves we are finals bound in 2018 and flags by 2019... Groundhog Day all over again

How can McGuire come out and say we like to get ideas from the biggest clubs in the world etc along those lines and then go ahead and do shit like a succession planning role for a bloke who hadn't coached a game. Then keep him in the job for 6 yrs with each yr on the decline as far as results goes and then reappoint him for another 2 yrs of shit.

This article from AFL.com is a must read. It's a puff peice that the club PR clearly managed to get the message out "look Bucks has changed he knows what he is doing now".

How'd that new leadership program you implement go Bucks?? Staff survey would suggest not so well. He implements a new leadership style as of end of 2016. It fails to get results yet again. Survey indicates the place is an absolute mess.

Pert says "he's been giving every resource possible to succeed" in about may or June. Then Pert falls on his sword. Now the review will see assistants, recruiters and the boot studders will get the ass.

The guy in charge, the guy responsible for our teams woeful onfeild leadership pathways and player education programs sits back pointing the finger at everyone else and says "not my fault, I take no responsibility for any decision I make. I got poor support and advice. Everyone else's fault".

By definition, a coach is meant to be a leadership guru. He is meant to be the fountain of knowledge, the wise and sage advice giver. The guy who demands players adhere to his principles and instilled a winning culture. The leaked survey results indicates clearly he is derilect in his duties. He can't perform.

And perhaps the most damning aspect of the survey is that staff want to see more evidence of senior staff adhereing to the clubs values.

Basically, it's like H is gonna say in his doco. The club and coach pontificate x y and z values (Side by Side) and then do the complete opposite and blame everyone else when it's their turn to take the heat.

We may well have been 1-8 with Reid in the side Naffan but we 4 years out of finals with you as coach. Show some class, admit your outta your depth and move on. Another two years of you will lead this club to absolute oblivion. We won't win a flag for at least 20 years if you stay on for another 2 years.

And football clubs first and foremost are about winning, or at least putting yourself in the best possible place to win, flags
