Correct
Those are some reasons I dislike him.

As for his character, I think he's a narcissist ( eg war dance) who has a chip on his shoulder ( eg not playing last week)

(Oh ... I'm a she ):)
A nacissist? Someone who doesn't have any sense of other people and no empathy? Someone who starts programs for disadvantaged kids and works tirelessly in het community helping others, ok, maybe you don't know what it means, the fact the press hound him does not make him a narcissist. As far as not playing, if I was surrounded in Perth by 40,000 peopple spewing vitriol at me, I'd never leave the house again, but of course, you're stronger than that and it would roll of your back like butter on hot corn, my god, hte stupidity never ends

I've also heard it directed at white men who are particularly hirsute

(Your fingers can barely type your post quickly enough
hte , hten, erm, - this issue has obviously got to you)
Yeah, I'm not the greatest typist, kill me now and great point in hte context of this particular discussion. CAN be dies not mean is always, it's really about context

Narcissism is characterized by a long standing pattern of grandiosity , and an overwhelming need for admiration- seems to fit if you ask me

character flaw? media exposure for one of teh greats of teh game in his last season with what's going on, what did people think was going to happen when they went to town on one player? The media would say gee that's nice and not pick it up and toss it around? You're a special kind of stupid, and this post proves it
Hmm if there was other people in 'teh' photo, taking 'teh' picture, maybe you could blame 'teh' media. Let's go back to the guessing game where is Adam.

Fair play to you my friend. But that does not excuse people from booing Goodes - due to his race. Understandably not everyone is, but some are, and it isn't right. On another note, you suggest Goodes has a personality disorder, I have never heard anyone else say that, what specific disorder would you label Goodes with? Tall Poppy Syndrome?

seen as, that's very broad, seen by who, greater Victoria? He's not viewd that way in greater NSW. I would direct your attention to Leigh Matthews, the greatest player who ever played but was in reality a thug, and Derm, loved by all for bashingblokes ove rhe back if teh head when they weren't looking. What a gutless sniper he was and still is, taking cheap shots from his media platform, lets throw Ed into that bucket as well. King ****en Kong, but no, no racists here
Seen by pretty much every fan without Sydney blinkers on. Have a look at his head high knock on Selwood last year. Insufficient force? Laughable really.

LOL thread still delivers. :thumbsu:

While you watch and eat the popcorn, why not join in a game of Bingo. I grabbed it off the Interwebz as I couldn't be bothered tailoring one for this thread or even a generic BigFooty one. Enjoy! And don't forget to yell out "Bingo!" when you complete your card! ;)

good point, and the slide on Rioli in 2012, probably should have gone for both, but y'know, 360 odd games, how does anyone fare over hte journey, ohhhh, that's right, not many get there

Ah well, I hope for you sake you don't get bullied in your workplace. Nobody should be bullied at work. Its an unhealthy thing.

If someone at my workplace ran around pretending to throw imaginary spears they would be escorted off the premises. The same for sliding into people knees first. As someone said, the sporting arena is not a regular workplace. There is an element of 'bullying' in all competitive sport and the crowd gets involved whether the game is at local or professional level. If the crowd think that the taunting is having an effect on a player's performance they will continue with it.

The best response by the player is usually with humour. There was a particularly short player I played against in the Geelong soccer leagues. Our supporters jeered him with taunts of "jockey". His response - after scoring a great goal, he ran around with a big grin on his face pretending he was riding a horse. Everyone laughed and the jockey taunts stopped. Mitchell Johnson gets endlessly jeered by the English crowds. He used to let it get to him. These days he puts a big smile on his face, waves and chats to the crowd, signs a few autographs on the boundary. The crowds love him for it. Danny Alves is a black soccer player who had a banana thrown at him when about to take a corner. He picked it up and ate it!

In contrast, Goodes' response to the crowds has amplified their reaction to him. And it's about their perception of events not yours or Goodes'. He is perceived to have singled out a child to be humiliated on national television. He is perceived to have incited the Carlton fans by running towards them with intimidatory gestures. It was harmless enough but other players have been fined for much less interaction with the crowd. This is where the situation has been exacerbated by the media and the AFL. He was already perceived as 'protected species' and this is an example of where he was treated differently to other players. And now there's a huge campaign to stop him being booed. People resent being accused of being racist when that is not their motivation so maybe he is copping the boos for that too.

I was also picking on your comprehension. Which doesn't seem to be a strong point with you as well.
it's difficult to comprehend nonsense, as much as I can't comprehend the labelling of everyone as racist, labelling is not a good thing, broad sweeping statements are not a good thing, peoples feelings and their right to respect are understandable
