Like everyone I have been chopping and changing my best 22 for the Tigers game and i was thnking that picking the bench is potenitally a tougher task then picking the actual 18 -
Here is the bench i finally settled on: This is not my personal view, but how i think Ratts and the MC will have us line up. I'd have Banno in

Personally i dont think Joseph nor Yarran will play - Jacobs is certain to play and robbo is a definately odds on. Armfield unlucky not to make the final bench, but could not squeeze anyone else out and i think the selectors are sold on giving Johonson the best possible chance to suceed.
There has been question marks over Scotto's and Walks fitness in recent days - Walker is super fit so the only issue he will have is that he has not played at the top level in the preseason so touch wise he is underdone, but from a fitness perspective he is elite. Scotland is the other hand is underdone after 3 pre season opps, though he has played the last few weeks for the ants. With Carrots and Stevo out (both in leadership group) we will need scotlands leadership and experience - from a fitness perspective only sctoland and robbo will be underdone - the later like all first year players have a decreased training load compared to the rest of the list so no doubt he will be blowing hard come the 3 and 4th qtrs.

to the bench: Russel, Hadley, Kruzer, Robinson

Russell - greatest asset (does he have one?) is flexability - can play lead up or defensive forward, off a wing or half back - will prob be used in multiple roles vs tigers.
Hadley - will come on and give judd, murph, gibbs a serious chop out. Great in close and he uses his big frame to advantage. Had great preseason form so will be one to watch in and around the stopages.
Kruzer - will come on to give big sauce a chop out - will act as another midfielder once the ball hits the deck and hopefully can be a link man through the middle and sneak forward at times. Last time we played the tigs Simmonds smashed us.
Robbo - will be used in spirts throughout the night - will give us a harder edge, coupled with great forward line pressure and enthusium. will play forward pocket / half forward.

Pretty confident Fev will come up, fingers crossed on Grigga - we need him!

Keen to hear how other people see our final bench.

Think I like it - unless enough people really don't then I also think it's not even close. You understand.

Agree Haddles is so bloody important to us - if he can stay upright people will start to see how good he really is. Russell in bursts to keep him fresh and utilize his good pace. Hope to see Humphrey and Twitch more on than off TBH.

Does anybody think they will give Yarran a go this week. Would almost like to see it.

If you watched Carlton last year then you would have noticed that when Russell plays, he always starts for us. This is because the coaches/MC think he fulfils a team role in the forward line instead of starting off the bench and being in the midfield rotation. So I would be very suprised if he becomes a bench player.

Bench would be a ruckman, a KPP, and 2 rotating mids.

Started on the bench in 10 games last year.

According to Ratten tonight on 3aw,Yarran is in the mix to get a spot on the bench. ( sounded very doubtful to me ).
Also Garlett has been promoted for Warnocks LTI
