One of you posters must've left out a ritual (or revisited a ritual) that caused this catastrophe.

I blame myself for wearing jeans against Geelong and Melbourne because I avoid colours of the opposing team almost religiously when it's game day.

(A lighter thread to make us feel worse)

The day of the Gold Coast game I was meant to be at a gathering but made an excuse to go late to watch the game.. Karma for the rest of the season perhaps..

I was in the car waiting to go into a mate's house when Essendon kicked the first four goals. I should have gone into my mate's house after the second.
When I was drinking Iron Brew on the couch at my mate's house, we crawled to within 15 points. Instead we went to a 40th birthday. During that trip Essendon kicked something like seven of the next eight. I should have delayed the trip to the 40th even if it meant running late.
But ultimately, my family lived in South Australia when I was a kid but moved to Victoria at the end of 1982. There it is right there.

I blame the supporter who after last years elimination final was yelling out to all the RFC supporters 'Never mind, we'll be back in another 12 years'

I have a feeling my being born is connected somehow
Is it too late for your parents to get an abortion?

Me bagging the absolute shit out of my Bummer's supporting mates possibly has something to do with it.. I wonder how my mate that I converted from the Bummers to Tigs feels now :p

As little kids in Ballarat, my sister and I would listen to footy on the radio. 3KZ was football. Our superstition was that pulling and crack each other's toes would create goals. The mystery was in which toe, whether to pull or crack.
Well by 1982 we were nearing puberty and the toe thing was getting a little weird. So we stopped.
Sorry guys.

Yep, you just made it to the top of the weirdest things I've ever read on BigFooty list. Well done, creepo :p

Not weird at all. Well not weird enough that you had to stop and force the rest of us into this shit.

I would suggest it's me judging by my luck. Got out a little early to catch the train before the footy special, doors go either side of me and fill up.
