good to see.maybe josh can pump it up a bit too.

He's going to fill out nicely - His bloodline shows that much.

However, we need him to retain some of the mobility he had in his first season.

Exactly!

The fitness staff has to find the right balance of him putting on some beef so that he isnt pushed off too easily in marking contests, but that he still has the aerobic capacity to present all day @ centre half forward.

does anyone know if hes curling for a single rep or multiple reps? im not impressed if thats his one rep maximum!!! the kid is 90+ kilos... and i hope josh isnt spotting him.... i think collingwood needs to employ a couple of world class heavy lifting bodybuilders to give our boys some serious strength...

Remember jason dunstall.. He could bench over 400 pounds... Strong usually is GOOD...

He looks rather impressive. I think he will have a much better season next year. I think people tend to forget he didnt have a preseason this year with him getting that operation on his jaw.
So I reckon he did alright, and think this year he is doing a preseason.
I hope opposition teams are keeping an eye on this boy, he could be trouble!!

ur an idiot... mr im no arnie.. " i do 110 pounds easy".. for starters hes doing about 130 lbs or more... unlike ur standard 8 foot gym bars hes using an olympic bar for starters.. and for a bunny like urself who sounds like they are a gym bunny... which bloke in thier right mind ( apart from 18 year olds who have been training for 6 weeks... supersets chin ups and biceps curls...... this isnt a bodybuilding forum i know but sorry... u sound like a typical hawthorn goose...

by the way... try supersetting opposing muscle groups... u might actually grow... lol... u probably ae buddy franklin.. 12 inch arms...

Ill actually cop all that from you because you got me curious. When you say supersetting opposite muscle groups, you mean say bi's and tri's?

Is that effective?

He's curling about 110lbs there, I can do 20 of them b4 fatiguing and Im no Arnie.

Stupid of me to bag him though because he could have been doing supersets of chin ups and other exercise at the same time.

Arms looking ok though.

they are better than the muppet arms he joined us with, thats for sure

I have always thought that travis will be a champion player one day. He;ll be the one that will turn games upside down and once his develops his skills he will be a player that will be hard to match up on.I wish malthouse lets the kid play his natural game.he has a booooooooooooooooooooming left foot,so has pendelbury but f....en malthouse doesn't allow the kids to play their natural game.I hope that changes in 2007.....then again with mm some things never change.

Where do you think his best position is?I have always wondered this myself.Im surprised MM didnt play him down at CHB for the experience more often.Sometimes he gets lost on the HFF

He looks good but alot of footballer's body's look good this time of year. Some clubs don't touch any footballs till after christmas so you'd expect them to bulk up a bit. Esp a Travis Cloke with a body type desperate to explode.

But I raise this point....Tarrant prob had the best arms/upper body in the leauge yet was one of the weakest on the field. How many 1 on 1 tussle's did you see him win? To me that says you can look as 'waxed' as you want but that can be a smokescreen...No doubt he scored plenty after the game, but that doesn't help us.

Quote of the pre-season this year (Jan 2006) was:

MM: "He (Tarrant) has put on 6 kilo's....ALL below the waist"

Yeah that made a diff Mick!

Hello JERRY,JE-RRY
you could be right sir, travi's best position could be centre half back.Depending on how they structure the team next year,he could play his best footy at centre half back, breaking the lines with that boooooooming left kick that we haven't seen much of yet, then the beauty with travis is that you could switch him to chf as well to split the packs like rocca use to do.He will become a game breaker one day.His confidence will build greatly next year.he will relish the responsibilty thrust upon him and will develop into a champion one day.Sorry to say this but without jason and cam at the club,he will relish the challenge,he is still only a kid.imagine him in say 2-3 yaers time when develops,he'll be similar to what pavlich is to freo at the moment.
