I also hope that the Cousins hype will subside.
It has been positive externally (membership, merchandising etc) but I have beensaying for weeks that it could only be a distraction on the rest of the playing list and I'm hoping that was the case tonight.

We should focus on Cousins hype - it gets members and people to the games.. it gets us money and should give players confidence.

Hard to be positive when you see your club go to the dogs every draft period, and when the team sheets come out.

Point is things need to change, I've said it for a long time now and I will continue to grind it out until I'm red in the face.

You don't concern yourself with symbolic hype and all that fake bullshit, you set in stone a clear list management philosophy that works to build a premiership list with a well balanced side with skills. FFS hype is shit you feed people that are too stupid or lazy to take the time to understand football.

carlton had similar hype last season, lost the opener and finished 11th...now we've been belted...the hype was good for membership, but it's not gonna win us a flag

Sorry but I disagree. The players have to be accountable for their performance tonight. They are ultimately responsible for their decision making on the field, blaming the coach in this instance is a cop out and its scooting around the real problems.

if it was a few players, then the blame lies with those players...but it was almost the whole team...it's the coach's job to drill them, give them structure and tactics, to motivate them for the game...when so many look like they don't know what they are doing then the buck passes higher

it has to get sorted out one way or the other by round six...if we're not at least 3-3, wallace has to go..next 5 games are: geelong, bulldogs, melbourne, north, sydney @ scg...uh oh

sure...but we know the players have talent, so why do they play games like that? either it's not wallace's fault and our list will never be good enough to win when it counts (so start another 8 year rebuild) or the coach isn't getting the best out of them (replace the coach and see how it goes)

we've only had 2 coaches in the last 10 years, so i think that old stigma has gone
